We’re a Jameson household here.
My dad was the only catholic republican in family of Episcopalian democrats. He passed in the early 90s and his twin brother and I became close.
Shortly after my first daughter was born he invited us to his house for brunch. He offered me a drink, “wine, beer, whiskey?”
I asked, “Got any Jameson?”
He looked me square in the face and said, “don’t bring that Catholic ■■■■■■■■ here.”
We had a laugh, and that’s were I learned that I became the same black sheep that my dad did… except I became an atheist, not a catholic. Which is probably just as bad for the rest of the family.
