Then don’t be too concerned about what has happened to the cost of coffee itself. Per google ai:
“The exact percentage is not publicly available, but the cost of coffee beans for a cup at Dunkin’ is a small fraction of the retail price, with the majority of the cost going to labor, rent, and other operational expenses. The price reflects a combination of factors like the cost of ingredients, labor, franchise model, and marketing, not just the raw coffee itself. “
I don’t understand why gas prices are used as a metric for the success of an administration. The president has very little control of the price. For the record, the average price per gallon is exactly the same as it was last year.
“ Inflation has risen over 20% since Joe Biden took office, with prices for goods and services significantly increasing during his administration. While inflation rates have slowed recently, the overall cost of living remains higher than when he began his term. thecentersquare.com Wikipedia
Inflation During Biden’s Administration
Overview of Inflation Rates
Since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, inflation has increased by approximately 20%.
The inflation rate peaked at 9.1% in June 2022, marking the highest level in 40 years.”
“ WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported that the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index, the Federal Reserve’s preferred measure of inflation, was 2.6 percent for the month of May. Since President Biden took office, prices have increased 19.3 percent. This means that the average family of four is paying an additional $17,080 per year or $1,423 per month to purchase the same goods and services as in January 2021”. I can keep going if you’d like.
It’s funny to see some smart guy lib start a thread where he basically accuses everyone who doesn’t agree with him of being stupid stick his foot in it like that.
When ole’ Clueless Joe spent this country into a 9% inflation rate…(too many dollars chasing too few goods) that meant every inflation number after that moment was building on that 9% statistic, not the 1.4% he inherited.
Hell of a lot better than capriciously and carelessly paroling into the country millions and millions of phony asylum seekers, including murderers, rapists, gang members, terrorists and all other sorts of criminals from all over the world. How many Americans lives have been impacted by those policies?
I’m just gonna say this and I know I’ll either piss off or get laughed at by every lib in this forum but who cares.
Trump has been one of if not the best president of my lifetime in this way.
Politicians never try to solve problems…they just talk alot about them so they can fundraise off of their words.
The border which Trump effectively closed is a prime example. Endless wars in the middle east are another.
Trump inherited the joke that was the Biden presidency….tackling those issues doesn’t happen overnight. What Biden did to this country was unforgivable…gas prices were 6-7-8$ a gallon in the worst areas.
Wages are now growing faster than inflation…“Yes, as of July 2025, wages have been growing faster than inflation, with nominal wages increasing by 4.2% compared to an inflation rate of 2.7%. This indicates that workers are experiencing an increase in their purchasing power….USAFacts hiringlab”. Administration officials are saying we’ll really start to feel some good things when all the one big beautiful bill provisions kick in after the first of the year.
The point being things are way better right now despite all the orange man bad whining…than they were under the failed Biden administration.
It takes time to undo those messes.
Trump has been a very good preside because he’s actually tackling those problems…I’m sure he knows there are always going to be short term whiners who want it all now…these are problems many of which predate clueless Joe…he just made them all worse. You don’t undo that much mismanagement overnight…but it’s nice to see an administration actually accepting that challenge.
I can agree or disagree with specific policies a President could take that might affect inflation. I disagree with Biden’s continuation of stimulus after the country had already started to recover from the effects of Covid. I disagree with Trumps intention of doling out bonuses from tariffs instead of reducing our debt load.
But im not sure how much we can really attribute consumer inflation to decisions of a President in general. I read in ancient Sweden the king could be executed if the country went long enough without rain.
The issue is not even debatable. Yes it peeked at 9 but as the multiple links I posted show over the full term of Biden’s presidency goods and services increased by 20%…
You asked for proof I provided proof and you answered with snark.
I won’t waste my time arguing with someone who cannot admit facts when they are presented to him.
