Default Obama half brother writes that father was a wife beater

Whoa geez, this is explosive. It will be interesting to see how the White House will react.

Surely they cannot be pleased about this. We have seen Obama and his team be so thin skinned and constantly attempting to control all media, that this shocker is going to put them into high gear.

I've always wondered why a young man, Obama, who was abandoned by his father wrote a book about him in such loving terms and didn't write a book about an astonishingly amazing woman who was his mother.

Here's just a portion of his half brother's comments.

'I want to tell my story'

"I remember in my house I would hear the screams. I would hear my mum's pain. As a child, I could not protect her," he said.

"I could not remember any good things about my father. My skin had turned hard emotionally for so many years."

Wow, this info really helps America. Problem is Obama's dad is not here to speak for himself. Again I say what good does any of this do?????

What worries me are extended families that can cash in on Obama's success. I think we'll see more of this in the future and it's disturbing.

There is no doubt that Obama has taken the world by storm and he is a highly successful young man.

Hell's bells he's the leader of the free world and President of America.

I'm just wondering how the White House should deal with this.

Unfortunately, they've played so many "boy who cried wolf" games that people have become numb to their complaints.

I can actually believe that Maureen Dowd will do a column saying Karl Rove is really writing Obama's half brothers autobiography.

It's becoming a soap opera and not befitting of the office of the President.

I hope they handle this appropriately.

The surprise would be, considering his cultural and religious heritage, that Obama Sr. didn't beat his wife.

I am not trying to disparage other cultures; go back 10 to 15 generations and you could say the same thing about Europeans and American colonists as well as most other cultures in the world. our new modern perspective is exactly that, new and modern

I read it twice. I have a fabulous library for such a small town. It takes an hour to get there, but it's well worth the drive.

BTW, I hold Stanley Anne in the highest esteem.

She was a remarkable woman.

And Dreams was cathartic for Obama. I can understand that.

If the LSM is up to it they may want to delve into the human side of sibling rivalry.
