Default Is ACORN being funded again?

Last I saw, Oct. 31st was the deadline for not funding ACORN.

But I haven't seen any confirmation on it since.

Does anyone know if our tax dollars are funding them again?

I don't think they were ever not funded. There was the deal that de-funded ACORN in one bill that didn't actually have any funding for them, but other than that it's business as normal.

That is one bad thing about American politics. The national attention span is so short that no matter what the outrage is, the people or group under the microscope just needs to shut up and wait. It will only take a short time for the next shiny thing to come along to distract everyone.

So, not even a slap on the wrist for the crap they pulled.

I wonder how the average Joe would have been treated...

According to Rep. Bachmann ACORN was sort of defunded in October (they still received a $1 million federal grant for fire safety) but that technical label of defunded ended on October 31st. They are back up to full funding now from the government, though private donations have been hurting because of the issues a few months ago.

They just needed a little time to get their armored car repaired.

It broke down somewhere between the Treasury and New Orleans.

Why are so many politicians on the way out, next year, again? I can't seem to put my finger on it.
