Default Secession – An Idea Whose Time Has Come.

In the threads about the coming Civil War, I think most have it backward. It would not be Conservatives that began the fighting, but rather the Liberals attempting to prevent Conservative States from leaving.

Contrary to popular belief, States do have the right to secede. If they exercise that right, it would be Liberals that would show up with guns in an attempt to prevent it.

As lame as the modern Civil War idea is, I have to admit I thought it was curious that not much has changed in the south from the time of the Civil War. When the south left they were hopelessly unprepared for war and the north dominated in nearly every category of wealth - railroad lines, telegraph lines, cattle, farm lands, manufacturing and banking. The south had cotton, which they propmpty squandered as an asset by stopping its export to Europe. Bales of cotton rotted in Charleston while the Confederacy went broke (not a long road there). I had a mental picture of averagenear's world where the south (Conservatives states - hey, at least you could still use the CSA belt buckles) left. The south leads the nation in poverty and illiteracy, much like 1861.

It does appear that Civil War is going to be inevitable, the only question is; “who will fire the first shot.”

As it was before, it will be those that are attempting to keep others as slaves. The Socialist Democrats.

I am sure all the large businesses running out the handful of states with the stupidity to do it will be excited to stay

I supported the last attempt, I'd support a modern attempt.

Then why would you care if we left?

Are you going to take up arms against us if we leave?

Those crazy liberals, all with their idea of national unity.

I'm sure China, Russia and South America would support your idea of a civil war. Nothing like making a few weak nations out of a strong one.
