The Cancer Thread

Each day has been better then the day before it...healing nicely...and don't have to go back to see the oral surgeon anymore. Yeah! Don't get me wrong..nice enough guy...but not one I'd want too go back and see too many more times..if ya know what I mean. So the all clear has been sounded...two or three more visits to the dentist and I'm good to go. Hubby took me out to brunch yesterday and I actually had real food! Oh..it was glorious..I stuffed myself! lol

All of Mom's test came back with an all clear. Have had several conversations with her recently. Other medical issues have arisen and she's achy and tired due to it..but at least the cancer is being held at bay.

My father goes in for surgery on his neck soon. I was going to try to go and see him before he went in..but have chosen not to go. It's a 13 hour trip first off...and I'm not really all that keen to be trapped in a car for that long just yet. I still get tired mid day...still taking naps...so can't imagine that kind of a trip just yet...I'm sure it would send me to the moon. So quiet holidays at home will be just the ticket...hubby and I are doing Thanksgiving this year...whole family on all sides have been invited...should be like 25 to 30 people. We've allot to be thankful for this year. Should be fun.

I come here just to check on you! I'm glad things are going in the right direction. It sounds almost peaceful! You deserve a lot of calm after the storms! All is well here. The boy I told you all about is not doing well, but everyday he's alive is one more day in which a miracle can occur. Much love to you, G

Miracle's do happen! Everything we experience has a purpose...although we may never understand or know that purpose...there most definably is one. Even in this young boys experience and suffering..there is a greater purpose underlying the experience. For me..being so terribly sick..it brought me closer to my Lord...it brought me patience (which was hard won I assure you), and it brought a measure of understanding and maturity to my girls and husband. Not one of them takes anything for granted...not one of them cheapens life by throwing away a day or by making poor choices. In a odd way, my illness was one of the largest blessings the Lord brought into our lives.

At 34 I was ready to die..waiting actually for the good Lord to come and claim me...but it never came. Instead, a miracle...a move that removed my poor diseased body from toxic mold environment that literally was finishing off what the RSD couldn't. Then a second miracle..a treatment that allowed me to walk again! Each part of that time in my life may have been beyond painful...beyond terrifying to experience...but lead me to the life I now today enjoy and cherish..as do my girls and my husband. This young man, for whatever reason or purpose, is being gently pruned by the Great Gardner..bearing nothing but perfect fruit due to his labors. You tell him to stay strong and loving on the inside...to live life as he is able while here...to let his heart sing and be light. We will continue to pray that this young boy will live through this..and become a walking testament to modern day miracles in a time that doesn't have much faith or hope for such anymore.

Sending our love and prayers...Miracles do happen...and we will pray for one to come down upon this family for the wellness and health of their son.
