Default Michael Cohen, Trump's lawyer, says he paid Stormy Daniels $130k out of own pocket

    This is per Fox News...
    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018...wn-pocket.html

"The latest twist in the tangled tale of what happened between President Donald Trump and an adult film star more than a decade ago has taken a new turn Tuesday, with Trumps longtime personal lawyer claiming that he paid the porn star $130,000 out of his own pocket.

Michael Cohen, the lawyer who worked for Trump for over a decade, said in a statement obtained by Fox News that the 2016 transaction with Stomy Daniels was lawful and not a campaign contribution or campaign expenditure by anyone.

Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly, the statement read."
I know Stormy Daniels has come out saying it didn't happen...but she said it in a way that leaves it open to speculation.

And please, I better not hear any "This is a nothingburger story so lets move on."
There was so much pearl clutching concerning Clinton's affair (except for the revisionists that now say "It was ONLY about the perjury herp derp.")
Clinton's affair was 20+ years ago and it's STILL constantly brought up today.

Has Trump actually admitted to the affair? I'm assuming he lied about it based on the fact that lying is his modus operandi. Kind of hard to lie now since your own lawyer admitted to paying her off.

Gosh, wish we could get back to the good ol days of REAL outrage: tan suits, feet on the desk, mustard choices, etc.. and not about trivial matters like the president's infidelity with a porn star/paying them off.

Another story today which isn't a bit surprising. This tawdry affair also happened while Melania was pregnant with Barron.

And no, I'm quite certain Trump hasn't admitted it. He never will. I doubt he's apologized to his (third) wife for cheating and humiliating her either.

Why do you care about pre-White House nookie stories from many years past? NO ONE thought that Donald Trump was a saint when they elected him. The rap on Clinton's sexual proclivities is that he was dallying WHILE he was president and in the White House - not that he was a hound dog, which everyone knew before they elected him, too.

And PLEASE, it is hugely important when a president LIES in a court of law, so let's not pretend that was unimportant.

Donald's lawyer is claiming that he payed Donald's mistress $130,000 of his own money? That doesn't sound at all unlikely.

Now a president's past doesn't matter? 95% of the complaints about Obama was about who he possibly hung out with in the past, what grades/college in the past, past marijuana use, etc..etc..etc.. And that's only touching the surface. Same with Bush too (alcoholism, military service, etc..).

    Now that's all off limits?

To me cheating on your wife with a porn star (and then paying her off) while your wife (who is now first lady of the US mind you) is pregnant isn't just some casual gotcha moment. You have to be of the lowest moral standards to engage in that.

And most importantly, this wasn't some simple "blame it on 1970's/80's excess/debauchery, everyone did it and Trump was a different man back then!," this was 10 YEARS AGO when Donald was 60 years old. That to me is shows he's completely morally bankrupt to have him still engaging in this type of stuff.

The good thing? We have some outspoken Christians like Jerry Fallwell and other mega evangelists that are SURELY going to hold Trump's feet to the coals. Can't wait for them to condemn Trump and talk about the moral decline of the White House.

Yeah, I'm curious of where those funds came from. He must have some type of banking evidence to prove it came from his personal account with nothing shady....sure. haha

If you want to wallow in prurient crap have at it but AGAIN it is NO SECRET that Donald Trump has had a past with women and he was elected REGARDLESS. So what is the point?

If and when he pulls a Kennedy or a Clinton and screws up now and in the White House itself, you can get all pouty again. Until then it is a PAST indiscretion, if it happened, and has no bearing on his presidency at all.

    Oh well that's just precious.

Voters did not know the depths of disgust with Donald on this one, dear Marky, because he paid money to HIDE this from voters.

    Get it?

If there's one thing I know about lawyers, it's that they don't do anything for free. Either he did this out of the kindness of his heart (bless him) or he's lying. And he has previously denied that she was paid off, so what made him change his mind and specifically say that it was his own money being used? My uneducated guess is that he's lying and that the money came from somewhere that would be very embarrasing to Trump himself..... I'm guessing either the Trump Foundation or Campaign funds.

I draw the line when you swear an oath. Clinton had his affair in the WH. That's what makes the difference to me. President Trump has had a very raw past in conduct beneath ANY man that I have respect for on a personal basis. I knew this going in but based on the choices, he was the right one IMO then and now.

And right on cue, Trumpists don't care and defend him. Truly spineless.

The lawyer paid because he probably keeps invoicing Trump, who won’t pay him back, like he is known for.

At this point I think they feel like they can tell Trump supporters pretty much anything they want and they'll buy it.

And they should feel that way.
