Default "Common Sense Gun Laws for Mass Shootings"

A lot of calls for more laws. I'm ready.

You propose the law you want and we'll debate it.

They didn't. The Texas shooter (despite being convicted on domestic violence charges, which is a disqualifier) passed background checks. The federal government failed this one, as it was the Air Force which should have passed that information to the FBI.

Of course they are useless. Criminals buy guns from illegal sources, not through background checked sources. Mass shooters are rarely identified as criminals before their mass shooting, this last one being an exception. That said, background checks, through the NCIS system, aren't that intrusive, so many of us gun rights folks can live with them as a compromise.

And by "X" you mean Orlando, Las Vegas and Sutherland Springs (among others)?

The problem with bgc is not only whether or not they work; they are unConstitutional.

It is a demand to prove innocence while being assumed guilty. It is prior restraint.

I will say this; despite being unConstitutional, bgc do help with keeping arms put of felon hands.

If the system were improved, it would no doubt help more.

You want to start with universal background checks like Ted Lieu?

Stricter gun laws seems to have worked for Chicago. I think what you need is more people able to cast out demons. These shooters were more than just nuts. As for the Texas church shooter, if the government can't apply their existing laws, how can more laws be of any help? I imagine that in the future, Texas will be less of a problem. The Texas church goers will start packing heat. The mass shooters will have to go to California, Chicago, and New York. It will be a case of survival of the fittest. The Texans will learn to survive, while some of the others, will not. Apparently, Apollyon's (Rev 9:11) demons are on the prowl. When Apollyon himself is released, the death toll will be "a third of mankind" (Rev 9:18).

We shoot it down because they have problems. If they were something that would work, we would agree with them.

No, but I don't want something that won't do a thing either. I have yet to hear of a gun control law that would actually do anything to reduce crime. Most gun control laws just inconvenience and harass law-abiding folks.
