    Default Trump on PR....unreal...

    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...32809282342912

...We cannot keep FEMA, the Military & the First Responders, who have been amazing (under the most difficult circumstances) in P.R. forever!

    ------

The last of a string of tweets complaining about how poor the PR infrastructure is.

*** is the matter with this man?

I don't know what he's really getting at, but he knows we have military bases in P.R. right? usually I'd make the assumption that he means working on the recovery of the whole territory, but with this guy I just don't know.

I'm old enough to remember this being said "We want them to be safe and sound and secure. And we will be there every day until that happens."

I know....I just...it's like being intentionally mean to the entire territory,

Read the tweets that proceed it - bitching about debt and infrastructure.....like, "PR< you did this to yourself, and we can stay to help forever" is the general theme.

But my god - WHY??? 80% of the island has no power. They are running out of food. It's on the verge of becoming significantly worse, and here he is, blaming the victim.

    This man is sick.

He likely did not even realize that PR was an American territory before Maria hit.

Didn't FEMA assist with Katrina efforts for like a decade?

libs: "trump can't take away all the help he sent to Puerto Rico"

But yeah, he should just shut up some times.

Both are true, you just ignore that it was the first concern that brought attention to PR forcing him to send help and resources there... albeit a week and a half late.

And it is obvious now just how reluctant he was to do that.

It's weird, in part, because it's so gratuitous. I recall how Howard Stern, who's always been fairly perceptive about Trump and likes the guy, and thinks that the presidency will make him unhappy, stating the obvious: that Trump really, really wants to be loved. Okay, whatever, Howard. But it seems to me to get that fix from his base (at regular or increasing doses), he needs to be constantly punching and lashing out at everyone else (which means that he often punches downward). It's a bad dynamic for a president, to put it mildly.

Look, Florida and Texas didn't have that kind of debt. They're winnners.
