Default Trump, Pelosi, and Schumer agree to save DACA Dreamers

That's the word after their WH dinner. Oh, and no wall included in the bill.https://twitter.com/joyce_karam/stat...48059124756481

Yeah I concur on that front.

But Dems don't control Mueller or his investigation. If Mueller nails him for something big, it won't be possible to overlook.

It'd be enough for impeachment, particularly given the lack of divestment.

Or Dems could strike a deal to hold off impeachment for getting certain policies passed? Let him retire as a 1 term President. Wouldn't that be a show to watch .

And no-one gets to tell me that any of that is pie in the sky after the politics of '16 and '17 lol.
Anything is possible, including Rs starting impeachment and Ds voting it down to keep Pence from becoming president.

    Strange times.

Yes of course, but if they know they have the votes why wouldn't they?

They will get every D and quite a few Rs, especially in the Senate. I think even Cruz might vote for it, as he's up for reelection next year and Texas has a lot of Hispanics.

Just read that Paul Ryan is insisting on provisions for increased border security in exchange for DACA. Vi believe he'll get it.

And Paul Ryan is to the right of Trump on immigration.

Was he at all specific on what provisions for increased border security means?

Looks like lots of word play on both sides with Pelosi and Schumer quickly trying to take credit for pulling the wall from President Trump and his supporters.

Enhanced security can certainly include more and better physical barriers where needed and determined by the people that know best at INS.

I will take a wait and see.

    From Trump himself this AM:

"Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!.....

...They have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own - brought in by parents at young age. Plus BIG border security"

    -------------

So BIG border security. No wall in exchange for the amnesty.

Democrats always cave to Republicans on these types of taxes...because its really what the Dem leaders and paying supporters want too.

    Annnnd....he's already walking it back.

Trump tweets this morning: "No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote. ... The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built."

So Steve King is right: "no promise is credible"
