Default A Tale of 3 Movements

It seems we have 3 very active political movement bad actors in this country right now:
    1. White nationalists
    2. BLM
    3. Antifa
There may be others and you can add them if you want.

It seems one is worse than the others, depending on the point view of the person posting.

Why is one worse than the other two?

So it seems confirmation bias is the distinguishing factor? Is that fair?

Yes and no. Insofar as the premise is mistaken given you're trying to discuss nebulous and leaderless factions and ascribing core beliefs to them. I think it's safe to say anyone who ascribes to actual white nationalism is by default (based on the very meaning of the title) ascribing to a belief that is antithetical to the culture of the United States.

What this almost always boils down to is one side complaining that the other has more bad actors or is in some way worse and that has everything to do with confirmation bias. However, that's a pretty boring conversation to have.

I disagree that they are nebulous or leaderless.

I agree with your comments on moral relativity.

They are all three bad actors antithetical to the values of the Untied States.

They are all three being true to their cultures.

There is no "culture of the United States."

Who speaks for Antifa? For BLM?

Why would you say there is no culture of the United States?

Every now and then we agree completely. The antifa wing of the liberal democrats is why I've disavowed the democratic party and will probably only vote libertarian from now. It really pained me to read an article just this morning about Elizabeth Warren is embracing the radical wing of the party (the antifa types) since she may well be the nominee in 2020. I'd hoped that the dems would grow the **** up but looks like they are going to double down instead.

Antifa though employ violence to suppress everything they disagree with and they have become the biggest enemies of free speech in America and that should scare everyone because the path we are on with their suppression of any speech they don't like is fascist.

he is a senator, elected by the people.

    you are a layman.

My opinion is also they are not a bad actor.

we will just have to agree to disagree On this subject

on the other hand I will agree with you on 1 and 3 as bad actors.

They can pretend they are having civilized discussion, label people as children if they point out the timing and obvious deflection, but it is a farce.

This is not a very hard concept, and this forum is filled with white nationalist apologists.

I also disagree with your opinion on this subject.

there is absolutely an American culture.

its why you hear the nationalists chant at worldwide sporting events (I among them)

    USA

At that point in time, there is no black or white.

    only Americans.

All sides do it though. How often in the face of BLM terrorism do we get deflections to white terrorism? Need I point out the thread on the first page by Native Sun about white men being the biggest purveyors of terror?

Conservatives were outraged by Obama's refusal to say muslim terrorism. Liberals are outraged by Trumps refusal to say white nationalist terrorism.

Sometimes all some of us, especially those of us disgusted with both sides, are trying to do is point out the hypocrisy of both sides. It doesn't mean we are defending either side.

White nationalists and Antifa have don't have noble goals. If BLM could organize better they would improve the country.
