Default The wealth gap between the rich and you guys is getting ready to take a massive leap

    https://www.theguardian.com/inequali...lity-cri-index

"According to the Commitment to Reducing Inequality (CRI) index, developed by researchers at Oxfam and Development Finance International, the US already distinguishes itself among wealthy countries by doing “very badly” at addressing inequality.

But it would fall a further six places from its ranking of 23rd overall if Trump’s tax reform effort is successful, with the US’s specific rating on tax policies plummeting 33 places from 26th to 59th – just below Peru, Chile and Sri Lanka."

Come on. Isn't the exactly the kind of thing that Trump wanted to accomplish. It was never about the working man in the Rush Best. It was about Trump having more money without doing anything (except push policy that made him more wealthy). And he's gonna do it.

My God- you don't even know what caused the inflation of the 1970s.

In parts of the country $70k a year will get you a decent home, a vacation a year, a car that runs well, toys for your children.
All that turns to dust and ashes if someone else has hundreds of millions of dollars.

Do you intentionally misconstrue the argument, or are you simply ignorant of macroeconomic trends?

Caught in the Middle: you're probably one of the Joes who makes 40-70k and thinks they're rich while LeBron makes almost $400k per game or while Warren Buffet makes $26,000 per minute. every minute.

If it were being presented that way I might agree with you. But it's always presented as the rich stole from the poor (how ridiculous is that?), or some rich guy has X, Y, & Z, so I should have it too. No thought going into what the rich guy did to earn X, Y, & Z.

Anyone remember Obama's war on his version of the rich. "Pay their fair share". When asked where wealth begins he said 250k. It's no wonder the middle class shrank under his regime.

    That's not how it's presented.

    That's a right-wing caricature of how it's presented.

Carter did have an "Anti inflation" program. What it entailed, I do not know.
