Default McConnell forced to delay healthcare vote because of McCain's healthcare.

With Republican Sen. John McCain ordered to rest for one week following surgery for a blood clot, the vote on the new version of the health care bill won't occur until he returns, two congressional aides told CNN on Saturday night.

Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tweeted that the Senate will work on other legislative issues and nominations, and "will defer consideration of the Better Care Act" while McCain is recovering.

With 2 Republican hard no's and a handful of undecideds... I'm not sure this will pass... I know Murkowski got a whole bunch of money just for my state so she is probably leaning to a "yes" now.

Not sure about the other holdouts.

A single senator's absence torpedoing your chances of passing a bill reflects on what a steaming pile of dog **** it is.

I bet if the Senate passes the bill they'll get an even better Rose Garden party than the House Republicans did... They'll be spraying each other with Champaign and Trump will probably spring for some top notch Russian escorts.

McCain is worth $20 million... He got this surgery with tax payer funded healthcare... And he is going to comeback next week to vote to make it impossible for the average American to be able to have healthcare.

That's a pretty dumb statement to make, given what happened to get Obamacare passed to begin with. It literally hung up on one Senator, unable to pass, until the Dems went the reconciliation way.

Republicans didn't vow to obstruct everything trump does like they did with Obama.

Isn't Trump supposed to be some sort of badass world class negotiator? Why doesn't he negotiate a deal with the Senate? Should be easy since his own party controls the Senate and he's such a yuuuuge negotiator.

Agreed. They've had years to prepare for this moment and haven't.

What does Obamacare have to do with it? Donald promised us a fantastic healthcare bill that would not only cover everyone, and not touch Medicaid but would also be cheaper. Where's that?

Republicans have been campaigning for 3 elections on this. They control the House, the Senate and the White House. They're failures, yet you'll continue to vote for them. They thank you for your blind partisan support.

Exactly. It's kinda of stupid to have a Bill that affects 1/6th of the economy be so divisive Congress can barely even pass it and sometimes has to finagle the process to force it.

Dumb then. Dumb now. Can't change the past but we can still affect the right now.

So it's ok when your side does it, but complain when it's the other side doing the exact same thing. Got it.
