Default Removing Confederate Monuments. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

I am so disgusted with liberals trying to erase history by removing confederate images. They are ignorant hypocrites.

If you consider yourself pro-choice, then you are a modern day confederate. You think the same, you act the same, you debate the same. You are no different than those early Americans.

I can't tell you how many times women have complained about men making laws concerning women's bodies. Now you understand how the South felt about the North voicing their opinions about slavery. It didn't concern those northern states. They had no business telling the southern states how to live their lives. Right?

For every woman who wants to get out of labor, there was a white man who also wanted to get out of labor. Therefore, they dehumanized the vulnerable in order to get their way.

No slave owner wanted to hurt their slaves anymore than a pro-choice person wants to kill a baby. But in both cases it happened.

In both cases, it was all about empowerment, having control of their own lives, and succeeding in life. Their intentions had nothing to do with harming others.

Both recall their histories of the days when they themselves were the victims, and how they rebelled, and succeeded and would never take no for an answer. They were both making progress in a fast forward mode, and didn't let anything get in their way.

Women like to bring up horror stories of women dying due to botched illegal abortions. Men recalled the horror stories of starvation and freezing to death of the early settlers due to the fact that they needed help tending to their new land. Access to slavery could have saved many.

If you have a problem with pro-life people, then you really would have had a problem with the Quakers and the abolitionists. They too, are cut from the same cloth.

If you feel a woman's body is off limits to the government, then you would also feel that a man's personal property was also off limits to the government.

If you want to understand how the confederates felt after the slaves were freed, just imagine about how the feminists would feel if abortion were outlawed.

I could go on and on.

Disclaimer: I am NOT comparing the physical body of a slave with that of a fetus. I am also NOT comparing the years of imprisonment with a procedure that is done in an afternoon.

Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.

    Historical and Military Parks do.

Not parks like Yellowstone or Yosemite. Different purposes.

    Fair enough

But what makes one a Historical Park vs a Regular Park like Yosemite or a State Park?
Since parks like Yosemite are also Historical in content as well.

    .
I would wager the purpose for them being established in the first place.

    Why was Yosemite established?
    Why was Gettysburg established?
    Why was Valley Forge established?
    Why was Grand Canyon established?

If you want to understand the mindset of the confederates, just imagine how livid the feminists would be if abortion were to be outlawed. They go crazy at just the thought of government funding being cut.

Like the confederates, women have been given a luxury that they should NEVER have had in the first place.

The confederates were fearful of how they would live their lives without slaves. While America didn't have much history back then, they were well aware of the early settlers that didn't survive the elements. Not just a few, but half the populations in some areas. Having slaves could have saved them. Far more people perished back then than those few women years ago that died due to a botched illegal abortion.

The slavery debate was around from the beginning of this country, and it was the first big "NO" that the confederates had heard. Like the women's movement, both were in a fast forward mode of progress and neither would take NO for an answer.

The confederates were no more evil than your average pro-choice person. They wanted the same thing. To progress, and succeed and help give their sons and daughters a better life. Both recall the days when they themselves were victims, and actually, they both were. They did not want to return to those days.

Would women actually start a war today. Probably not. I will give them credit for being a bit more civilized than men.
