Default Is Ivanka Trump still off limits?

Children have usually been off limits for good reason since it is not their fault who they are born to. Barron Trump was the target of a SNL writer and was rightfully defended by everyone (including Chelsea )and the writer denounced by most on both side.

As early as January 9 the reports where that Ivanka Trump will not get a job in the white house
Ivanka Trump, who like her husband has been a close adviser to the president-elect, will not take on a role in her father's White House but will focus on settling her family in Washington.

Kushner and his wife will undertake significant divestments of their wide-ranging financial portfolios as they prepare for their move to Washington from New York and face inevitable questions about a potential conflict of interest.

However it seems that like most of Trumps statement, wait a couple of month and this will change

Ivanka Trump, who moved to Washington, D.C., saying she would play no formal role in her father’s administration, is now officially setting up shop in the White House.

The powerful first daughter has secured her own office on the West Wing’s second floor — a space next to senior adviser Dina Powell, who was recently promoted to a position on the National Security Council. She is also in the process of obtaining a security clearance, and is set to receive government-issued communications devices this week.

In everything but name, the first daughter is settling in as what appears to be a full-time staffer in her father’s administration, with a broad and growing portfolio — except she is not being sworn in, will hold no official position, and is not pocketing a salary, her attorney said.

what say you? is she fair game and the more important question however: Is there an ethical issue about having her in the white house without being required to adhere to the same rules and regulation that comes from being a paid government employee?
When a flight is proceeding incredibly well, something was forgotten.

If she is being part of the political process, it certainly is well and fine to criticize or praise her for her positions.

She's not a child and is currently part of his administration.

    Just my opinion.

If she is there and doing things for her dad, then she should be fair game for criticism.

If she is there and doing things, I believe she should be going through the same process as any other employee/appointee.

I personally think it is a very bad decision for any elected officials to hire their family, even if they are somehow qualified in that area, I would always just
hire the best applicants, and not allow my family to apply, so there would be no hint of nepotism, or other conflicts of interest, but that is just me.

I've always been protective and felt they should be off limits until they take on a role in the administration. I will continue that for now until we learn the extent and role she will play. If she wants to run with the big dogs...she can't hide on the front porch!

I say go for it. Attack her. That is what liberals like to do to conservative women. It seems to be a winning formula, right?

And Bobby Kennedy was Attorney General. Any conflict of interest there?

    I never thought so.

She's fair game because she voluntarily threw her hat into the ring. She comes across as very together so I'll wait to hear what the beef with her is but....have at it IMO.

Attorney Generals are confirmed by congress and being a paid position required to follow certain rules, she is neither.

Yeah I wondered what the "off limits" question meant. OP wants to know if it's okay to attack her, sheesh... Oh, and, Ivanka gave up her rights as a woman when she admitted who her father was...

The Bush girls were off limits and anyone who didn't treat them as so was out of line.

I stopped liking Rush around he time he was making fun of Chelsea Clinton. He crossed the line with that one.

Was there a problem with Michelle Obama?
Liberals believe that a woman found raped and murdered is morally superior to one with a dead rapist at her feet and a gun in her hands.
