Default BREAKING: Judge orders KY Clerk Kim Davis to jail until she complies

    This just in.

"BREAKING: Rowan County Clerk #KimDavis being held in contempt of court and remanded to the U.S. Marshals"

The Court has ruled, and the woman who, In God's authority, refused to issue marriage licenses - is on her way to jail as we speak.

Judge Bunning told her he has his own religious beliefs as Catholic, but public officials must respect the law.

    Excellent.

I should note that all her assistant clerks told the Judge they would happily issue the licenses and only their fear of Davis terminating them stopped them from doing so.

With her in jail, licenses will now be issued and there isn't jack **** Davis can do about it.

Good, democrats jailing Christians for practicing their faith should cost them at least some percentage of votes. I am not saying it will cost them a lot of votes but every % counts come election day. And her jail time will be profitable as well, sure fire book deal.

Her decision not to perform her job is not practicing her faith.

If she threatened her employees with the loss of their job, for actually DOING their jobs, she should be removed/fired for that alone, much less everything she has
    done/refused to do.

Good Riddance. Do the job you were paid to do, or move along.

Democrats jailing Christians? Who are you talking about? You know the Judge is a Bush appointee right?

BTW - She is not being jailed for practicing her faith, she is being jailed for contempt of court after being found to be failing in the duties and responsibilities of the office.

I read that earlier today - how the clerks there were in fear of her, and they would be willing to issue licenses.

In a way, she was religiously persecuting *them* -- the judge ordered all from the office to be at the hearing. I'll bet Ole Kim, the "God Warrior" <gargoyles!> didn't come off too well.

    this situation reminds me of...

"Pete: The Preacher said it absolved us.
Ulysses Everett McGill: For him, not for the law. I'm surprised at you, Pete, I gave you credit for more brains than Delmar.
Delmar O'Donnell: But they was witnesses that seen us redeemed.
Ulysses Everett McGill: That's not the issue Delmar. Even if that did put you square with the Lord, the State of Mississippi's a little more hard-nosed."

She was never jailed or punished, EVER, for "practicing her faith". She is still allowed to practice her own faith.

What she cannot do, is use her official job to shove her version of her faith down someone elses throat.
