Default Why must liberals accuse the right and libertarians for not caring about the poor?

I am seeing a rather growing and unhealthy trend of liberals/progressives accusing the right and libertarians of not caring about the poor, sick, and elderly. Liberals/progressives frequently accuse the right/libertarians as being racist and wanting to hurt the poor and vulnerable.

This point came out front and center, when Chris Hayes from MSNBC, started off with accusing Americans for Prosperity contributor Jennifer Stefano for "waking up every morning trying to destroy ObamaCare." Later in the interview, he told her to admit that she doesn't care about the poor and sick. During the interview, he asked her why does EVERY Republican oppose expansion of medicad. Stefano said that his premise was false, and then pointed out that in states like Pennsylvania, you can get medicad if your family makes 94,000 per year.

My question to you guys is, why do they do this? I am not saying all do this. I am pretty sure there's a growing number of liberals and progressives out there, who don't have this mindset, but there does seem to be this rather illogical mindset of: You didn't vote for Obama? You must not like black people. Stand up against Obama's policies? You must have race issues and hate the poor. The Americans for Prosperity wants to derail the Obamacare. They must wake up every day, and say "Lets get rid of the law. It doesn't matter that it's helping poor people."

The particular Liberalism on which this country was founded has essentially nothing in common with the modern imposter.

How do you think he just happened to be at the right place at the right time in 1981 when IBM needed a new operating system?

These answers should be copied out on ticker tape, so that the next time someone asks why liberals accuse the right of not caring about the poor, somebody can drop the roll to the ground and let it unspool around the room. This thread is an unqualified success.

I have no idea. I'm too busy making my own money to worry about how he made his.

Now, we can call them lazy, drug addled, losers and blame them for the situation, or we can maybe ask why the last few decades have seen an explosion in economic growth at the top while the middle and lower economic classes have been stagnant. We can ask why companies are making records profits while employees are working harder for less money.

At least, we could try to ask that, but anyone who does would be accused of being a socialist or some nonsense.
The Fed pumps fake $$ into the economy. The Fed takes us off the Gold standard. (All making bread go from 25 cents to $2.50....gasoline from 35cents to $3.50) The Fed unfettered banks to be in the investment business. The Feds then bailed them out for their follies. The Feds pump more in the 'war on <fill in the blank> for ignorant votes.

Oh yeah. The US Fed G'mint has been 'tinkering' for votes/$$ and its so ever much better. Now the ignorant think that just raising the minimum wage will fix it all. The ignorant think that the g'mint taking over the entire health care system will fix it all. My God. The Left is pretty damned stupid for all their 'university educations'.

Every soldier can be a commander. And will be if he stays in more than a couple of years.

This isn't new. The old folks used to say, " That boy ain't worth knockin' in the head." And wouldn't help them until they showed they were trying.

Some people, sadly, have taken over the term 'Liberal' to make it sound noble....aka 'liberal arts, etc. There are really some classical liberals here who would disagree with the current use of it. The term was bastardized decades ago. Now, if some people would just be honest and proud and call themselves what they really are, it would make for a much easier conversation...........(aka 'marxist'/'communist' etc)

Oh, lack of skill makes them unskilled. Lack of marketable skill makes them unemployed. Skills doesn't fall from the sky, it's earned.

I changed careers two years ago. Again. And over 50. Not a lot of call for my previous skills where I am now. Unless one is skilled enough to transfer them of course.

And I should have said every soldier could be a commander, I don't know what's changed in the last two years. From what I hear it ain't good, but I got other fish to fry now.

Oh and in those two years I have gone from a training wage to the highest paid in my field on the site. Went to school at night, while being a single parent and working 50 hours a week. Over 50 and after reaching the pinnacle of a previous career. Twice.

There is nothing that cannot be achieved by a properly motivated individual.
