My understanding is that Obama did! I did not watch the debate, but read some posts here and tweets elsewhere.

I watched 10 minutes and knew Obama was going to win. Romney was stuttering and stammering and he was repeating himself like a parrot.
The economy is number one right now, but is it enough? Romney is certainly a one trick pony.

Obama by a long ways. He hammered Romney on policies often leaving Romney unable to do anything but agree with Obama or contradict past statements by himself and / or Ryan.

Obama, without a doubt. It won't mean much in terms of polling, but it will provide the narrative going into the first cycle of the last two weeks.
This won't help Romney in the swing states. It won't hurt Obama in them either. Ultimate advantage to Obama, but obviously Romney can still win it by taking Ohio and Florida plus two states like Colorado and New Hampshire.

Obama. Romney finished stronger than he started, but Unless you are completely blinded by partisanship it is pretty clear that Bammy won this one hands down.
The question is, will it matter? I hope not.

Romney had a bad night. I wasn't impressed with the stammering, the agreeing all the time with Obama and the overly generalized ideas.
How this will impact the poll numbers remains to be seen though. I agree with the comments from others that Americans have little attention span for foreign policy."Inside every cynical person there is a disappointed idealist." George Carlin

Romney got waxed...but it's expected...he just doesn't have the foreign policy credentials and expertise he needs.

I listened to it in the background as I worked on the computer. What a waste of time. We learned nothing new and it certainly didn't change anyone's mind.

Still don't like this forum. Romney came off as the
sensible one, with determination to do what Obama
has been too weak, and toooooooo busy "playing"
president.
I certainly don't fault romney for not being able to
get back to Libya. That has been covered 24/7
and the whole country knows Obama failed miserable

I actually thought that Romney had a plan to simply make this debate not matter. So he agreed 90% with Obama (big surprise) and simply showed competence in the realm of FP. So tommorrow it's all about the economy and not FP. Therefore, strategically, he wins though Obama performed better.

Did anyone besides me notice that really weird grin that
Obama gets when he's criticize??? He shows only a few
teeth, kinda. Totally different when he's fawning over
Hollywood celebrities.A gov't who robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul. G Bernard Shaw

Obama won tonight. Romney agreed with him on almost everything.
It wasn't a knock out by Obama, but it is enough to easily win him the election on Nov 6.Conservatism is learned. Liberalism is not. We all come into the world screaming, soiling our diapers, and depending on others to fulfill our every need. The difference is that most of us outgrow it.

It's odd that such a big deal was made out of the New Black Panther case, while a case where voters were actually approached and intimidated ever became an issue.
