Holder, IRS, to Brief Black Pastors on How To Campaign For Obama

Unreal. Isn't the Dept of Justice supposed to represent ALL Americans?

How can this be legal?

Attorney General Eric Holder, the IRS, and the liberal lawyers at the ACLU will brief several hundred pastors in the African American community on how to participate in the presidential election -- which the Congressional Black Caucus chair expects will help President Obama's campaign."We will have representatives from nine denominations who actually pastor somewhere in the neighborhood of about 10 million people, and we're going to first of all equip them with the information they need to know about what they can say and what they cannot say in the church that would violate their 501c3 status with the IRS," Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo., told MSNBC today.

Not when the U.S. Attny Gen. is leading the charge for them.

This is what I don't get.
You would think that blatantly throwing equal protection under the law out the window
regardless of which side benefits would really concern liberals as well as conservatives.

If it's allowed to happen to benefit one side, who's to say that it won't end up being
used against that very group of people next time around ?

Public officials do a lot of guest speaking. Didn't GW speak at Oral Roberts? What was that all about? Strike that last question ... I really don't care.

Old friend, this sets a very bad precedent.
At most, what should be done is a reminder to them that espousing politics in church
is cause for the loss of their tax exempt status and that if they desire clarification they
should call their local IRS office.

Getting the U.S. A.G. involved on a personal level in his official capacity is not a good thing.
