Default Holder, IRS, to Brief Black Pastors on How To Campaign For Obama

Unreal. Isn't the Dept of Justice supposed to represent ALL Americans?

    How can this be legal?

Attorney General Eric Holder, the IRS, and the liberal lawyers at the ACLU will brief several hundred pastors in the African American community on how to participate in the presidential election -- which the Congressional Black Caucus chair expects will help President Obama's campaign."We will have representatives from nine denominations who actually pastor somewhere in the neighborhood of about 10 million people, and we're going to first of all equip them with the information they need to know about what they can say and what they cannot say in the church that would violate their 501c3 status with the IRS," Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo., told MSNBC today.

Yet another reason why Obama must be defeated.

What they can and cannot say in the church? Why in the world would people be talking about voting and politics in a church?

Legal schmegal......Laws ??? We don't need no stinkin' laws........and in truth they don't.
Not when the U.S. Attny Gen. is leading the charge for them.

This is what I don't get.
You would think that blatantly throwing equal protection under the law out the window
regardless of which side benefits would really concern liberals as well as conservatives.

If it's allowed to happen to benefit one side, who's to say that it won't end up being
used against that very group of people next time around ?

    This is NOT wise.

Yeah, good point Nun. But I bet there will be silence from the left, except for the moonbats on MSLSD who totally support this.

The Dept of Justice is supposed to represent everyone, not just liberals.

This is one thing the anti Romney people just aren't getting. It's not just Obama about defeating Obama. When he leaves the White House in January, Holder, Napolitano, etc, are all out of jobs.

Do they get to preach about "Seperation of Church and State"?

My guess is that the Liberals who complain about Churches being Tax Exempt want a refresher course on how to remain Tax Exempt!

Subsidize us with taxpayer funds to operate, and subsidize our customers with taxpayer funds to buy our products! What could go wrong?

I'd bet the meeting is open to the public. Give them a call.

I'm sure most liberals won't have a problem with this, because it's a Dem attorney general talking to liberal pastors.

Just imagine though if this was a Republican attorney general talking to conservative pastors.

Who's sponsoring this? Is Holder speaking as a government representative or as a private citizen? Is there an actual article or just this commentary? I couldn't find anything on MSNBC.
I oppose Owl/*****-Cat marriage. It's an assault on traditions.

Public officials do a lot of guest speaking. Didn't GW speak at Oral Roberts? What was that all about? Strike that last question ... I really don't care.

Did you know you can call the IRS if you have a question, no charge.

Why not read the article and find out? It's quite obvious Holder is speaking as a government representative. The IRS will be there giving advice too.

Old friend, this sets a very bad precedent.
At most, what should be done is a reminder to them that espousing politics in church
is cause for the loss of their tax exempt status and that if they desire clarification they
should call their local IRS office.

Getting the U.S. A.G. involved on a personal level in his official capacity is not a good thing.
