Sparse? He got 14,000 people to attend. Later in the day he spoke in NC or VA (?) to a completely packed 8,000 seat venue.

Sparse is speaking in an 80,000 seat stadium and only having a few hundred people attend...

    "Sparse attendance"?

Give him a break. You can only fit so many people in the Ayers' living room.

The point being, he could have filled it last time. Meaning, his support among young people has eroded and he really needs all the people with little real world experience he can get.

Despite heavy advertising of the event, there were plenty of empty seats as you can see from the photo at the link posted below.

Quite an embarrassment for the Obama campaign.

And the Columbus Dispatch confirms attendance was much less than expectations:

“Ohio, I tell you what,” Mr. Obama said, his voice rising, “we cannot give him that chance.” The crowd of 14,000 supporters erupted into cheers and chants of “Four more years!”

So Obama has a rally with 14,000 people and righties are chuckling? Weird.

What is that, like 10 times more people than Mittens has EVER had at one of his events? What is the biggest crowd Mittens has had? 400? 500? 300? Visions of Ford Field...

Why does Obama need an excuse for drawing 10 or 20 times more people than romney ever will? What's romney's excuse? Oh yeah, no one really likes him. Still. Not even republicans.

Well, the OP has to do with Obama having a large rally with 14,000 people--which is like 10 times more people than romney has ever had or probably ever will have. It's weird that republicans are attempting to make fun of their opponent having a crowd of 14,000 people at his rally when their guy cant even scrape up 10% of that amount of people for his events.

Romney packed the house in Cleveland today -

Mr. Romney is on his seventh trip to Ohio so far this year. The state’s 18 electoral votes are considered critical to a presidential candidate winning the necessary 270 electoral votes to win the election.

About 300 people squeezed into the Stamco plant, sandwiched between giant metal presses and other industrial parts.

    Another packed house for Romney!

"The president is trying to breathe life into the failed policies of the past," Romney told a packed crowd of about 480 supporters at Dart Auditorium on the campus of Lansing Community College.

Yup, Obama had about enough people there to have a little league baseball game.

For Romney, it's a great day if 14 people show up

Obama a year ago had packed houses every time. Now people have realized that he's a fool & to stay away from him. He can't pack a sardine can. Thank God.

    This is truly special.

It's sort of like recreational b-ball players in a YMCA league ridiculing Lebron because he scored under 40 points in one game

That basketball arena only seats 18,000 people. The top level is clearly blocked off and looks to be about half the capacity of the place.

How does that equal 14,000 people?
