I still feel if Paul and Gingrich weren't still in it Santorum could have been the nominee.

Glad to see he recognized the inevitable and will allow the Republican Party to unify. Thank you Rick for your decision.

Its about time. Romney can shift his focus to Obama, where it belongs.

On the other hand now the President can start spending all that money. this gives him more time to hammer the nominee.

I wonder if he wanted to avoid being embarrassed if he lost PA.

Good morning, USA! I got a feeling that it's gonna be a wonderful day!

Has it been verified that his campaign actually got the proper paperwork in to withdraw?

Very well could have been. I'm sure when he lost the election for his Senate seat by more than 18%, it was pretty embarrassing. Losing to an "outsider" would have been worse.

I imagine he'll use the old fall back of "spending time and taking care of the family." With his youngest back in the hospital though, it isn't really a stretch that that aided in his decision.

The way I heard it reported, he is going to suspend his campaign. I haven't been able to find anything online yet to verify - but I know he is suppose to be giving a speech today. Supposedly, that is when he is going to announce. Hopefully, we'll have more details then.

SWEET. Now I will eagerly await the RNC's massive and properly executed PR campaign paving the way for victory.

Does that mean we'll get to see an RNC message next to Michelle Obama's mug in my google search results finally.

    Carl Rove is finally unleashed!
