As for Tiger's behavior, I haven't seen the video but I did hear about. And I'm confident he was out of line. And I understand it. This is a guy that was the best in the world for a good part of his life. He knows he has the ability to make shots and he's not making them.

I'm not the best Help Desk manager in the world, but I know how to do my job and I know how do it very well. But when I screw up, it ****es me off.

Now, I don't throw my keyboard across the room but I have been tempted. I have to wonder if I was under the same amount of pressure, both self imposed and otherwise, would I not throw the keyboard from time to time?

If my job presented me with a chance to win $1.44 million, and I choked on a service call I've done correctly a thousand times? Yeah, I might chuck a keyboard or two across the room.

Of course there is a difference in the objective of hitting each ball in the respective sports. Of course there is also a difference in hitting a ball sitting still, that you can take the time to set up, and hitting a ball moving extremely fast that you have less than a second to determine the proper course of action with regards to swinging at the ball. And I am not suggesting people should go out of their way to be an ******* on the course, but a little passion from a player never hurt anyone.

Its been my experience that someone making a similar argument has never hit a golfball in any situation ranging from the hackers to the pros. It's fricken hard.

THen your experience in this situation is wrong as I grew up playing golf and had several offers to play in college (though I didn't take them because I didnt want to go to any of the schools). And not once did I imply that hitting a golf ball wasn't hard, I implied that some of the etiquette that goes along with golf is ridiculous.

I don't disagree that it's disrespectful. I just didn't think it was worthy of a thread. And, I understand his frustration. I don't excuse it, but I certainly understand it.

And because I understand it, when I watch the video of the incident that you started a thread about, I think this was a minor thing not worthy of a thread.

I'm pretty sure he got fined a number of times in his heyday. It's just that the PGA doesn't make it's business public like the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL.

My basic feelings as well, I was going to write "In other news: Sun rises in the east and water turns out to be wet."

I mean I realize when he went though his personal problems he vowed to be a better golfer on the course, but I'm not shocked to find out Tiger acted the way he has acted for the past 16 years last weekend.
