This is the one area of seemingly bad economic news that is actually GOOD news. (especially for those of us who want to buy over the next few years. :mrgreen:)

Home prices have continued to fall as well according to the Standard and Poors Case-Shiller Index.

How low will they go?

It will be interesting to see what effect the housing market has on the elections this fall. Although this is actually good news, the general public has been led to believe otherwise. Maybe Romney & the Republicans can beat the Democrats at their own game and use economic ignorance to their advantage for a change. Of course, it wouldn't be necessary to stoop to their level. Other than stocks, every other important economic indicator stinks. Labor force participation is dropping like a rock, income is stagnant, and we're still at risk for a double-dip recession, although I am hopeful we'll avoid that fate, and I think we may be just strong enough to do so. But anemic, non-existent recovery just isn't good enough. So I am thankful for at least one major bright-spot: our slow march back to sanity in the housing market.

Other faiths such as Islam, Judaism decry mercy killing. China and India with Buddhist and Hinduism have laws against mercy killing-Hinduism did allow sati (suttee) where a widow commits suicide on her husband's funeral pyre, but India has long made this a crime.

This topic maybe a 'slippery slope' because of the result where people are killed against will. Another problem is where you get results such as T-4 Program in Nazi Germany. But if an adult is handicapped or terminally ill with a disease wants to die, then should they have the right to kill themselves :question: Life can be hard for handicapped people, but many people that if they were handicapped or blind, they would want to go on living though life is hard.
