Well Detroit lost, but that's ok cause Minnesota also lost. 4 games left with a magiv number of 3, and are the last 3 games are against KC which we have a 14-1 record this year. So I think things are looking good.

The Cardinals arn't a fair comparison though, they have't even made the playoffs, while we have clinched a palyoff spot earlier this week.

Unfortunately I don't think the Tigers I playing for that division (Did I mention yet that I want that divison title). They seem to be gearing up for the playoffs. Not letting our stars play the whole game, and giving key pitchers rest. We might have been able to win yesterday if he had kept Inge and Pundge in.

Hey don't ruin this thread. It's about the Tigers, besides we haven't been in the playoffs for 19 years. It's been a good year, better than most would imagine, we just ran out of gas at the end. We held first place for most of the year. There is no shame and we will hold our heads high.

I don't think that were to concerned about winning the division. After they were guaranteed a playoff birth they starting do odd things with the lineup. Taking starters out pretty early and play abd taking out the pitching starters earlier than usual and using the relievers more. I don't question Leeland, I think he knows what he is doing.

Last night on FSN-Detroit they showed a clip from the news conference when Leyland was aaksed about how they played down the stretch he said that the team played like it was ok, if they won and played Oakland, but it was also ok if they lost and went to New York. He said that has got to change or else none of us might have a job next year. That we need to play with urgency and not complacency.

The only think that encourages me is that Leyland has been here before and I gotta beleive that he knows what he's doing.

For over a decade there was not much to talk about reguarding the Tigers. We are like a dry sponge. We can't get enough of it. Sam thing happened when the Red WIngs started to win again, and the same will happen if the Lions actually start to show some promise.

The postponement doesn't tick me off that much, bad weather happens. What ticks me off is that it appears that the Tigers and Yankees were given different messages. The Tigers were warmign up for the game to start at ten, while all the Yankees were in the clubhouse.

I worked nights so a lot of time the Red WIngs were playing while I was at work so I bought this credit card radio, with the single tiny ear plug type head phone. They let me do that as long as I kept it discreet and didn't let it interfer with my work.
