I've got norton and avast sometimes they conflict with each otherAnytime you run more than one anti-virus app like that, yeah, they can have conflicts at times.

I run something called WinPatrol that detects any changes to my startup. Also I have something called Trojan Remover from Simply Super. Add that to the fact that I specifically disable ActiveX , I'm in pretty good shape.

I also have Flash disabled just because it's a nuisance. I hate reading a page and have something moving...
