The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell
The guilty pair, bowed down with care
God gave His Son to win
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin
Could we with ink the ocean fill
And were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole
Though stretched from sky to sky
Hallelujah 3x
O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure

We may be fixing to look for a new church. We have had a few problems at our church.
The last church we belonged to, the pastor saddened me deeply by one of his sermons. And I know, our pastors are humans, and sometimes they do not always say what we want to hear, but this one item really stuck me, hard. After that, I tried to go back and I felt so down about it, that I could not.

I did not feel like anything could be done to change how I felt, other than praying, which we did. Then some friends of ours who went there to approached us about it also. They too felt deeply saddened, because we all had up to that point felt very blessed to have such a great church family. And when one moves around, and family is far away, church family is even more important.

What are some of your favorite foods that you usually only have at Christmas time?
Christmas is always special at my moms house, their are always lots of delishish dishes prepared, one year we had a roasted goose that was awesome, and we had roast duck on occasion, she would sometimes prepare a leg of lamb, or a delectable roast with veggies, sometimes a huge roast chicken, or a spiral sliced ham, and then theirs the good old turkey, but after all the Thanksgiving turkey, we would often have something different for Christmas.
on New Years day she would always serve black eyed peas and collard greens, for luck in the new year with accumulateing coins and cash!

it leads to a beautiful place where there are no goodbyes, no I'll see you tomorrows. It leads to a place where love and joy abide and we are free to pursue our dreams. It leads to a place where the warm fire glistens in the frosty air and begs you to come. It leads to a quiet place where we can hear our hearts speak and feel them beat as one. It leads to the warm sunshine as it kisses the dew on the grass in the morning. It leads to a magical place where the moon beams shine down and bless the earth with their light.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she carries, or the way she looks..... the beauty of a woman must been seen in her eyes because they are the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
love resides in the heart and her beautiful eyes can open the way, but the thoughts, and the hopes, and the dreams, and the feelings of joy, come from the soul, and through the mind, and are expressed in the words of your song, and the from the lips of your mouth:hug:

love resides in the heart and her beautiful eyes can open the way, but the thoughts, and the hopes, and the dreams, and the feelings of joy, come from the soul, and through the mind, and are expressed in the words of your song, and the from the lips of your mouth:hug:
True love cannot be described in the world's eyes. It is a tender precious thing that abides deep inside the heart. It must be cared for like a child and never taken for granted. So many just yank a girls or guys heart out and twist it and hurt it and throw it down on the floor and stomp it. So many people hurt others needlessly by their words and actions. You can love someone with all your heart and soul and mind and body and spirit and they can choose to reject that love and break your heart. They can take that love and throw it away and leave you standing there with your heart in your hand. Love can grow and blossom into a beautiful flower if it is watered and cared for by loving thoughts and deeds. Sometimes it just takes a touch of a person's hand or to gaze in their eyes and you can see that love and feel that love. Sometimes love can be seen and felt in the words of a poem or song. One of the greatest pains is when the one that you love with all of your heart tells you that they don't love you or they have never loved you! Or when the one you love tells you that no one else could or would ever love you! Love can be smothered and killed by words such as these. I have heard these words and they cut me deeply like a knife. But I just got up off of the floor and picked up what was left of my broken heart and placed it back into my wounded chest. then, some precious friends came along. They showed me love and compassion and caring. Their thoughts and words and hugs were like a salve that healed my broken heart!

I was taught to believe, and never to doubt
The man up
above, knows what he's talking about.
So when I heard
that voice, so loud and clear,
Speak to my heart I knew
that she must be near.
The maker said take her and
love her forever
Take care of her for life
And treat
her right
I never was the one for listening very
well
I walked my own way and felt what I felt
Further
out of touch with the master plan
she was like a flight to
the promised land
And
The maker said take her
and love her forever
Take care of her for life
Never
forsake her, don't be a heartbreaker
The maker said
take her and treat her right.
Just treat her right
He placed an angel in the palm of my hands
And for once
of my life I obeyed his comands
I'll take her
and lover her forever
Take care of her for life
Never
forsake her, don't be a heartbreaker
The maker said
take her and treat her right.
Just treat her right.
Just treat her right.
The maker said take her and
love her forever;
Take care of her for life.
Never

Eight-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon wrote a letter to the editor of New York's Sun, and the quick response was printed as an unsigned editorial Sept. 21, 1897. The work of veteran newsman Francis Pharcellus Church has since become history's most reprinted newspaper editorial, appearing in part or whole in dozens of languages in books, movies, and other editorials, and on posters and stamps.
"DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old.
"Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.
"Papa says, 'If you see it in THE SUN it's so.'
"Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?
"VIRGINIA O'HANLON.
"115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET."
VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.
Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.
Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.
You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

I love this song. Shall we dance?
You're My Inspiration
You know our love was meant to be
The kind of love that lasts forever
And I want you here with me
From tonight until the end of time
You should know, everywhere I go
You're always on my mind, in my heart
In my soul
You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You're the inspiration
Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin'
No one needs you more than I need you
And I know, yes I know that it's plain to see
We're so in love when we're together
Now I know that I need you here with me
From tonight until the end of time
You should know, everywhere I go
Always on my mind, in my heart
In my soul
You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life

Listen to me, baby, you gotta understand
You're old enough to know the makings of a man
Listen to me, baby, it's hard to settle down
Am I asking too much for you to stick around
Every boy wants a girl
He can trust to the very end
Baby, that's you
Won't you wait but 'til then
When I see lips beggin' to be kissed (stop)
I can't stop (stop)
I can't stop myself
(Stop, stop)
Lightning is striking again
Lightning is striking again
Nature's takin' over my one-track mind
Believe it or not, you're in my heart all the time
All the girls are sayin' that you'll end up a fool
For the time being, baby, live by my rules
When I settle down
I want one baby on my mind
Forgive and forget
And I'll make up for all lost time
If she's put together fine
And she's readin' my mind (stop)
I can't stop (stop)
I can't stop myself
(Stop, stop)
Lightning is striking again
Lightning is striking again
And again and again and again
[Instrumental Interlude]
Lightning is striking again
Lightning is striking again
There's a chapel in the pines
Waiting for us around the bend
Picture in your mind
Love forever, but 'til then
If she gives me a sign
That she wants to make time (stop)
I can't stop (stop)
I can't stop myself

CHRISTMAS It was a silent night in Bethlehem,
When Christ our King was born ...
While shepherds watched their sheep,
On that very early morn. A brilliant star was shining
Upon that sacred shrine
Of the Holy Family kneeling
Beside the manger of God, Divine. The shepherds followed this radiant star,
Of royal beauty bright,
And listened to the angels sing;
While praising God all through the night. "Hosanna in the highest,"
Unto Him all nations sing,
"Christ our Saviour is born this night.
'Tis Christ our Saviour King." The radiance of His being
Will shine through all our lives
And crush the sins of all mankind;
Upon which all evil thrives. Oh, Blessed Child of Mary,
To whom all the world will bow,
'Tis God's Son - the only One.
To this our God, forever, will avow. Oh, loving Saviour of mankind,
The souls of man (both then and now)
Will sing Your praises forever
And unto You all knees will bow. Each year we'll celebrate Your birth,
To please our God our King,
And pray You will come again -
So peace to this world You'll bring. © by Leslie M. Willson, Sr.

I can feel what you are saying blaze:hug: at one point I felt that those 4 words, I don't love you, were the saddest words ever spoken, my heart was broken by one I truely loved, I felt hopeless and abanconed by the one I had cared so much for, and had tried so hard to win her heart, but when those words were said, an overwhelming sadness touched me, but we carry on and just sometimes wonder why love given freely, is sometimes disregarded yet captured and never returned

aww, how anyone could not love you is beyond me! At that point in her life, she lost one of the greatest gifts she had ever been given!

I think that a good mom is the heart of the home! Your mom sounds so wonderful, I love her even though I have never met her in person! I've never tried roasted goose or duck but I can imagine they are very delicious! Especially with a sweet, loving, precious mom like yours to cook them! You are so blessed to still have your mom and have a good relationship with her! Next time you see her, give her an extra hug and kiss from me for having and raising a wonderful son like you!

Dolly Parton, The Greatest Gift Of All Lyrics

Artist: Parton Dolly
Song: The Greatest Gift Of All
Album: Once Upon A Christmas Dolly Parton Sheet Music
“The Greatest Gift Of All”
Dawn is slowly breaking
Our friends have all gone home
You and I are waiting
For Santa Clause to come
There's a present by the tree
Stockings on the wall
And knowing you're in love with me
Is the greatest gift of all
The fire is slowly fading
Chill is in the air
All the gifts are waiting
For children everywhere
Throught the window I can see
Snow begin to fall
Knowing you're in love with me
Is the greatest gift of all
Just before I go to sleep
I hear a church bell ring
Merry Christmas everyone
Is the song it sings
So I say a silent prayer
For creatures great and small
Peace on Earth, good will to men
Is the greatest gift of all
Peace on Earth, good will to men
Is the greatest gift of all

Sometimes
In life, you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life
Just by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh
Until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe
That there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you that
There really is an unlocked door
Just waiting! For you to open it.
This is Forever Friendship.
This is the sacred RED
ROSE.

I like this song by Reba Mcentire
I sent you roses, I warned you I would
Do all that I could to show you the way that I feel
Please, don't say I'm wasting my time
I've got nothin' but time so I'll do all that I can to catch
That ghost of a chance
The sunlight, the moonlight
Are beyond my control
And there are stars in the heavens
That I'll never hold
But if dreams give you power
Then I'm strong enough to offer my heart
And never give up till you love me
Till you love me
I looked in your eyes, so bright and so blue
And that's when I knew that you could be mine
If good things come to those who will wait
Well, I guess I can wait if that's what I have to do
Oh, it's worth it for you
The sunlight, the moonlight
Are beyond my control
And there are stars in the heavens
That I'll never hold
But if dreams give you power
Then I'm strong enough to offer my heart
And never give up till you love me
Till you love me
Til you love me
Oh the sunlight, the moonlight
Are beyond my control
And there are stars in the heavens
That I'll never hold
But if dreams give you power
Then I'm strong enough to offer my heart
Oh and never give up till you love me
Till you love me
Til you love me

She sits in darkness
memories serve as her only company
a life so full of joy
now ending in lonesome misery.
What once was a devoted wife
and a loving mother
is now nothing more than a burden
to those she loves the most.
A glimpse of a grandchild here and there,
a greeting card once a year.
This is what is left of her loving family,
of her joyous youth.
A beautiful, radiant sight was she,
now they hang her heads when in her company.
And so she sits in solitude
a single tear rolls down her cheek
as darkness surrounds her
so do the fond memories of her family.

as a flower you've been kissed
by the morning dew and mist
and when the sunlight fills the sky
you lift your head and hold it high
and as the daylight fades to gray

and the gentle night winds blow
you stir and flow with the breeze
swaying softly sensual tease
as dawns glimmer slowly breaks
with touch of gold my love awakes
