I have written a poem about Thanksgiving. I will post it soon. I am working on another special one! :D

Okay, I went to the Dr. yesterday. I have lost 11 pounds. My good cholesterol is up . My Triglycerides are down almost 50 points. My total cholesterol is 116, which he said is perfect! The mean glucose test he did showed that my sugar has dropped 21 points! He told me to keep doing what I am doing and come back in March. The mean glucose test said my average blood sugar is 136 not 157 like it was two months ago. He is tickled to death and told me to not get discouraged just keep on doing what I am doing because it is working! Thank you all for praying! I also found out that my glucose monitor is reading about 20 points higher than the Dr. office. He said as long as I keep making progress, I do not have to go on medicine to bring my sugar down.

As we approach this Thanksgiving Day, I am thankful in many a way. I could never thank God as much as I should, because of His love, because He is good! I am thankful for so many things. I really don't know where to start. Thanking God must come from the heart! I just want to thank Him for His light and His love, for sending His precious gift from up above. For loving and forgiving me and saving me from my sins. That is where I would like to begin. I just want to praise Him for food and clothes, for loving me more than anyone knows. for giving me a good place to lay my weary head. I just want to thank Him for my nice, warm bed. That is what happens in my little Georgia town. Most of the time it melts before you can really enjoy it. I have carried my kids outside before daylight before it melted! that is the most beautiful description of snow I have ever read! :hug:

What was your most memorable Thanksgiving? My mama had a way of making every holiday memorable. I remember one Thanksgiving in particular, though. I was about eleven or twelve. My mom was in the hospital with heart problems. I missed her so much! My sister in Lynchburg, Virginia invited us to her house for Thanksgiving! I was excited to get to see all my brothers and sisters and my cousins! It had snowed there so I went outside . My daddy had his picture made with all six of his kids. Wayne, Butch, Ricky, Jackie Leigh, Becky and Dottie. I don't get to see my family often so I was thankful for that. I haven't seen them all in years! One of my brothers is gone on before us. The sad thing is I don't know if he ever accepted the Lord before he died. I wish I could find that picture!

I also have two other brothers. One of them, I never get to see. The other one comes to see me several times a year. I wish my family was closer and I hope they all know how very much I love them!

I have a sister who lives in the next town but I only get to see her on special occasions. We do talk on the phone almost every day.

I love the holidays since I don't get to get to see my family as often as I would like to.
