I have a few albums (records!) by them, so I thought I'd see what I could find on the net to play while doing this...and trying to figure out how to save my departed parent's just condemned house for my younger, not too well educated, with disabled son, brother!!

Hey maybe I'll start a thread asking for advice...but I'd hate to see it end up being a stomping by ultra-right wingers, without a shred of compassion or understanding of such things, as they are where they are thanks to mommy and daddy!!

I hate to say, as it still bums me out...big time.
I had about 1200 albums, 60's and 70's...many rare. I look at what some are fetching today...a few in the $100's. I also was minding my younger brother's collection...almost 1,000... and, my older brother's collection of old 45's (50's and 60's). He use to go into the bars and take the old 45's from the juke boxes and swap them for the newer stuff during the late 50's and early 60's.

They are gone. My heart is broken. There is no way to get some of the music back, in any form!! Here I go, depressing myself, when I gotta help a sibling!!!

Keep them. They may put your children's children through college! You can get a turntable or new needle easily.
There are a lot of record purists and businesses that cater to them. Records (in good condition with good equipment) sound better than cd's. You're not clipping the top and bottom off of the analog signal to digitize it! That's why it took a while for classical music listeners to accept cd's (well, they were kinda forced too!).
