How Many Times Have You Been Banned/Timed Out/Tossed Out Of A Forum?

Timed out for not understanding how the language filter works (typical noob mis-step),

Banned by Lee who (falsely) accused me of being a Paul-bot,

Thrown out of TTTM for whatever it was I wrongly said to annoy Goodlife (can't remember now what it was, but she had the goods on me).

i've been given i believe two time outs. i was never real sure what i did for one (it came down on a few of us for posts that were made a day earlier and deleted when the discipline camealthough i guess i can't complain. i think it was for three days but i didn't try to log in again until it was about an hour from expiring)

the other was for contempt of host and although i disagreed with the contempt charge i could have worded myself better, so lesson learned.

Ok, then, once. In a big way. I came in like a bull in a china shop. Went ballistic over Frank leaving the boards and crossed the line in several ways. You know what they say about making assumptions...I had done alot of that.

I had a mentor tell me I was banned and also the correct procedure for apologizing. I never had the horror of trying to log in and not being able to, just the humilition of the ban and the SHAME as I thought over the things I'd said and the assumptions I'd made and pointed out my errors to the mods.

I learned alot from it.

I felt MUCH better after I read the DaisyMaisy thread, however!

I think it is pretty easy if you are considerate and dont get sucked into being defensive by some troll. Just because somebody insults you in some way, responding only feeds them and they do it more.

I've had one that I remember - it was because of English's ambiguous language, where I used the word "you" to refer to someone in general, and the reader thought it meant him directly (something like "you don't usually do X when Y something"). We ironed that out in a hurry and all was cool.

I was a moderator on a Mustang site that one of the "founders" was an engineer for Eevyil GM.

I had very bad luck with the GM products I owned, and also was subjected to GM not honoring their warranty and I could not afford legal representation at that time (nor did I know enough about lawyers to seek one).
I was just being me, stubborn, opinionated, and expressed my true feelings for GM as a company, and their products.. (On a MUSTANG Site).. It led to the other mods sucking up to "Mr GM" and honestly, I felt the site sucked anyway.

I wasn't banned, but I told them to stuff the site where the GM Emblem shines and went back to a real Mustang site that I had left to mod on that one. So, a self imposed ban I suppose.

Mr GM was banned from the site I first left. I was going to be a mod there, but my former location of employment blocked all forums, and I didn't have time to mod from home. The "GM luver" site was much less demanding of my time.

That site no longer exists.

I've was reported for filter bypass a couple of weeks after I first joined. Goodlife showed mercy on me.

Someone reported me the other day for a comment about Bill Clinton but they got banned, retread or a troll I guess.

I did turn myself in after I was informed a post was supposedly in violation.

It wasn't.
