Do the states of Colorado and Arizona actually touch each other at their common point? :think:

I would say yes. If you can stand in both states simultaneously, they touch. Even if there were a river between them, because the river would be split down the middle.

If you were to say that Colorado touches Arizona,
and Utah touches New Mexico,
I would then have to ask how that would be possible.

No, they don't touch.
There are only lines on a map, there are no separations in the land.
things cannot "to meet without overlapping or penetrating" if there is only 1 thing.

as you can see,
the first time it occured to me to ask this queston,
it didn't draw much interest...
