I think Chole needs to come around more often.....:)
she pops in on occassion, and I know her life has gotten a bit busier (I manage to connect w/ her other places besides hannity.com)...but it's always so much nicer when she is around.
Chloe is a sweet and wonderful friend......
btw: Happy Birthday!!!!!!

Yeah, I've often wondered about that.

How would we ever know if and when one of our favorite posters passed on? :frown:

Seems a shame that we have no way of being informed of the passing of a fellow member, so that we might memorialize and honor the person.

Kinda funny the way we feel so connected to others here in the forums, yet we're still anonymous from each other.

I'm connected to no one. I've been here 4 years, almost 30,000 posts and I have not one connection to anyone on this board. I talk to nobody off the boards, I rarely pm with anyone. I'm coldhearted, to the point, disconnected, its my nature. Can't help it. Alot of people though find this board to be a great place to find friends. Depends on what you personally look to take away from it. There's a handful of people I would care of knowing if something happened to them. The rest well they are just like anybody to me in this country, people pass away that I dont know.

Granted, we have no way of knowing whether the people in here are who they say they are and have the lives they say they have.

I am sure it is a mix like anything online Bill. I have come to know both types over the years. Like real life, this environment has some of the good and bad. When you find bad however you can X out or place on ignore that which is not for you.

In the end it is not something that truly matters in the larger scheme of things.

I actually have connected with a few people away from here and offline and have shared more about myself than my nic and state with them but it took some trust earning for that to happen. I share little because I trust so few. Just the way I am. Some people laughed at me one time for being careful but I have since learned some had to learn the hard way that I was correct to be cautious.

But on here posting I am just having fun or I am offering opinions on other forums. All good.

For those who enjoy writing, it's probably a combination of amusement, entertainment and hoping to get their message out. After all, everyone has a little message for the world. Moreover, this message board contains a wealth of information, news and links to news.

Also keep in mind that there are some persons such as politician's staffers who routinely peruse this board to get an idea of what the nation is thinking.

I've been in here a year.

Prior to this, for several years I spent time in various chat rooms discussing politics, religion and philosophy.

I think, through it all, I've also developed a certain selectiveness regarding trust.

When I first began to post in chat rooms, I pretty much bared it all to posters who appeared to share my point of view and outlook on life.

I learned the hard way that some people on the internet can turn and be cruel and depreciating when it serves their egos.

I've since learned to trust my intuition on such things.

I jsut reread this thread and Dreamy reading your posts is like reading a romance novel in your detailed explanation of friendships and such from this forum. I can't stop laughing. This place is awsome. Lets all hug.

Offer an example or two darling. You want me to write as you would like or as I would like? You know what you'll get I am sure. By the way, should I be more like you and if so why? Like I said, like me and my style or not. I will still sleep well tonight.

Maybe so, Paul.

But for you to write off marriage just shy of 19 makes me reevaluate my earlier take on you that you're wise beyond your years.

Why would you not even consider marriage?

BTW, I've seen other posts of yours, one where you've talked about being asexual, but in others where you're obviously drawn to being a highly sexual person. So, what's it gonna be, Paul?

Why so? There are plenty of people who are happy single. One buddy of mine and I are cynics when it comes to romance...yet we're pretty happy with our social lives and family lives.

Politicians do look at this forum.

I am a conservative, but when I was a Republican I occasionally staged property tax protest rallies at a small city park and served as a grassroots volunteer for the Party committee. As such, I frequently chatted with politicians and staffers all of whom were highly familiar with the Hannity message boards.

The board's affiliation with the esteemed Sean Hannity automatically evokes and endows it with integrity, respectability and prestige not readily found on other discussion forums.

It is without question that the success, civility, decorum and credibility of the board can be attributed in large part to the stellar and dedicated team of talented and skilled volunteer moderators whose tenacious, impeccable, round-the-clock monitoring ensures and guarantees the board a high level of dignity.

There are forum members who we haven't seen in a while.

Don't know if it's because they've been banned or if they've just stopped posting.

For instance, I just realized that I haven't seen Sidestreamer in a while.

I miss his unique personality.

There were times, though, when he would get upset about I-don't-know-what, and go off the deep end, so I wouldn't be surprised if he got tossed.

And, BTW, does anybody know why he professed to hate Texas?

Anyway, who are some of the posters who've been absent and whose presence you've missed?

Yay!

I just noticed Sidestreamer's back in the house!

Welcome back, Doug!

Deuce Four was one of my favorites when I first joined. He got irritated with another poster and left.

I can't remember the exact way to spell the other one, but there was a lady here (or at least the avatar was a cute girl in a low-cut shirt) who had a very public fight with our favorite fairy in the mod section and got a lifetime achievement ban. I believe his/her name was asagardhil, or something like that. I really don't miss him/her, but I miss seeing that avatar.

I also thought it is a very sweet sentiment that you started this thread. Sometimes people get a warm feeling when they know they have been missed.

BGG was here briefly last week and created a thread. He is taking some real life time for himself. Something that is definitely important to do in our lives. Good for him! And yes his presence here is greatly missed.

Yeah, I got that note, and thank you for making an attempt at keeping it up. I also have a daily thread in the sports forum called This Day In Sports History and that one got skipped over too. They're both back up and running now though. By the way, I was impressed at how well the Song Titles thread was maintained..... you guys did great.
