My parents were HUGE country music fans, so I had to listen to it growing up. We aren't talking the stuff that could pass for rock, but Bluegrass music and the really "twangy" stuff. So, I HATED country music. The only country style recording artist that I liked was Johnny Horton.

I was lucky as a kid. My mother and sister and I lived with my grandparents until I was 16. I had an uncle that was only 4 years older than me. So I had exposure to the different music that my granparents liked, the different music that my mother liked, and the different music that my young uncle liked. So I have quite eclectic tastes and enjoyments when it comes to music. From Motown to Chopin to Enya etc.
