Cowgirl Up!
March 24th, 2006, 12:48 pm
Here we can discuss all things girly - hair, nails, whatever.

Since it's Friday, I'm going to go to a party tonight but in the meantime, since I don't have any friday classes, I'm going to celebrate the ending of the week by soaking in a nice hot bath. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a317/Susie-Q/bath.gif Then I will do my nails. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a317/Susie-Q/polishingnails.gif

What are you ladies up to?

Sung to the tune of "Walkin' in a winter wonderland"

Walking Around In Women's Underwear Lyrics"

Lacey things, the wife is missing.
Didn't ask, for her permission
I'm wearing her clothes, her silk panty hose.
Walking around in women's underwear.

In the store, there's a teddy.
With little straps, like spagetti.
It holds me so tight, like handcuffs at night.
Walking around in womens underwear

In the office there's a guy named Melvin.
He pretends that I am Murphy Brown.
He'll say "Are you ready? "I'll say, "Woah man!
Lets wait untill the wife is out of town.
"Later on, if you wanna,We can dress, like Madonna.
Put on some eye shade, and join the parade.
Walking around in women's underwear.

Lacey things, missing.
Didn't ask, permission.
Wearing her clothes, silk panty hose.
Walking around in women's underwear.
Walking around in women's underwear.
Walking around in women's underwear......"

What are you ladies up to?

Our friends have a beautiful home on the lake and we go up to help them open it up every year. We then have a standing invitation whenever we want to come up during the summer.

My boyfriend and I are going there this weekend.

It's a little cool but still a nice place to be at any time.

This afternoon I got a couple pics taken with my friend Katelin..they were her senior pictures, and she wanted some of her friends in some of them. It was kinda fun.

And then tonight I volunteered at the outdoor sportsman's expo at my church..there was all this food there like deer and quail and kangaroo and alligator and goose and elk, and you know what I ate? A bread roll, some crackers and a brownie..*dies laughing*

Here's something fun: Skittles lip gloss. Omigosh, I have this addiction.

Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park. Car mechanics tell you the truth. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected. New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks. A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.

Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life. Your belly usually hides your big hips. One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache..
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.
No wonder men are happier.

Depends I suppose on the area of removal and what procedure was being used prior to thr laser. It requires more frequent visits at first(every 4 to 6 weeks) and then every few months and then after that hair follicles should be permanantly destroyed.

At the risk of being serious in here, I have a question. I reached a certain point of baldness where buying shampoo became pointless so I just grabbed the ole Mach III and went to town. Been a chrome dome for almost ten years now. The problem is..........I HATE shaveing. It's just such a boring/time consuming process. Both on my head and on my face. Do any of you know a more permanent solution? I've gone to every salon I could find and not a single one will wax above the neck. Won't even give me a reason. They just say, "Sorry, can't do it." Also, I've checked into the laser but, pricey? That's an understatement. And they won't give me any type of guarantee. They'll do my legs and guarantee them for months, but no such luck above the neck. Any of you have any suggestions?:frown:

Wow that is quite a problem. You might try asking the salon why they won't wax your head or even ask a doctor if there is any danger in it. If not you could just buy at home kit and wax it your self. I wouldn't recomend doing Naire or any chemicals like that. Just leaving it on your legs too long will leave chemical burn so that can't be safe on your head. I can imagine shaving it would take a long time. My best advice would be to find out if there's any danger or harm in the waxing

They probably won't wax your noggin because the head bleeds so much more than any other part of your body. You could try Naire again, just don't leave it on as long. If you do resort to waxing it yourself (though I wouldn't recommend it because what hair you do have left is probably thicker from the shaving + the hair on your noggin is thicker anyway) I would start with a small (very small) portion and see what happens.

Hope you don't bleed to death!

Question of the day: Why are guys so unaware when chicks are interested?

texan_rep
March 31st, 2006, 1:06 pm
Depends. Sometimes they only see you as a friend and don't interpret your interest properly. Sometimes they are themselves interested in someone else and just don't notice. Sometimes they do notice, but they aren't interested, and don't want to hurt your feeling or lose your friendship. Other reasons as well.

It's not a one-excuse-fits-all sort of thing...

Wowza....that may be the understatement of the century!!! Heck, half the time whne I'm speaking dh doesn't hear me because he's plugged into the tv or whatever \

and then you get the blank nod and smile and the occasional "yep" or "mmmhmm" that's when you start asking for stuff you know they'd never agree to like "sooo we're watching The Notebook tonight and then we're going do your nails and talk about our feelings sound ok with you?"

Yep. A man's brain pretty much focuses on one thing at a time. It's really not their fault when they don't hear you when they're watching TV. Their brains process info differently from ours.
And ladies, no offense, but when he falls asleep after love-making, that is a compliment. He enjoyed it very much. He had such a rush of "feel-good" chemicals through his body that the physical reponse is to crash out. He can't help it. So feel proud when you make him pass out. :)

OK, so which is it? Is he uninterested and unwilling to tell you, or is he unaware of your interest?

Can't have it both ways...:naughty:

Hmmm, isn't having it "both ways" a fantasy with many guys concerning women?

Oh, you were discussing something else-my bad! ;)

I'd say 99% of the time, he's unaware. Sometimes ya gotta smack them upside the head with a 2-by-4 to get their attention.
