No, you don't want a good blender. You're never, ever going to find a blender that doesn't choke on ice. What you need is an Ice Shaver. I have one by Rival that makes really short work of Ice but that's what it does, that's all it does and it won't ever, ever stop until the ice is shaved.

Then you stick the shaved ice in the blender and whatever else and you won't have the bad smell of smoke.

I use it to make diet shakes out of Slim-Fast and it doesn't even take a real blender, a hand blender is good at that point.

You can either buy blender after blender when you burn them out or you can get an ice shaver to meet your shaved ice needs.

I went for the ice shaver. Right tool for the job.

Where do you think the electrical outlet you plug it into came from? You're just making a tiny leap of logic to have the appliances and what they plug into coming from the same place.

Really though, shaved ice is the best way to go. It beats the heck out of a blender for a smooth and consistent textured ice treat without bumps, lumps, and clumps to interrupt the frosty feasting.

I've got a bad reputation for driving at work too just because I was drinking a soda, eating sunflower seeds, talking on the cell phone and I was on a 3000' high single lane mountain road taking switchbacks steering with my knees and my wimp passenger got upset about that.

I'm like, if you're gonna go off the side of the mountain, what difference does it make if your hands are on the wheel? It's gonna take three days to get that wreck out of there anyway. Besides, I like steering with my knees. I'm sure that's why they invented cruise control. Airplanes are steered with the feet. The feet and legs are how you steer when you walk anyway, right?

Ever seen somebody walking on their hands try to walk a straight line? That doesn't happen so you're better off steering with your knees anyway in my opinion.

See, I don't get the victory over fighting over parking spots. I'll park way the heck out because I'm going into the mall and when you go into a shopping mall that's 2 miles long one way, how much effort are you really saving by gunning for a parking spot when you have all the parking you could ever want for walking another crummy thousand feet?

I've seen crazy people idling their cars for five minutes waiting for some shopper to unload their cart to get that parking space and I'm thinking that's just crazy because you could park out in the furthest space in that whole parking lot and walk in during the five minutes you waited for the juicy spot with four minutes left over.

I don't consider it a win. Shopping doesn't happen in the parking lot so the less time you spend there, the more effective your shopping will be.

I also got the most beautiful wall hangings from this adorable little antique shop!!

A lamp for Pop, His entire summer, fall, and winter wardrobe, a beautiful basket, 2 sarongs, 3 earring & neclace sets, some absolutely GORGEOUS linens from this little seaside shop, taffy, ceramic cups, some really nice window treatments, 3 vases, a pink peony,a set of cast iron skillets in 3 differentr sizes, some really funky t shirts, ankle bracelets and a few other things I can't recall right now.

In theory, the Geosynchronous Satellites in the Clarke Belt orbit the Equator and the further South you go, the better the system should operate.

She can't go a whole lot further South than she is without swimming involved so it should work good for her.
