Just got back from Charleston today, great surf yesterday-6' waves. I'm kind of a beginer so I got beat up pretty bad but was still a load of fun. Was going to return home last night but didn't get done eating with friends till about 9 and then went out drinking with some other friends till about 3. Didn't think it was a good idea to drive home for 3 hours half drunk at 3 in the morning so stuck around till this morning and drove home today. Went with neice to look at a new car when I got back. Great weekend.

I went to LA once, was in Vegas and rented a car to drive over and see the other big pond. Venice beach (I think that was it at the end of Santa Monica Blvd in Holly Wood) was the nastiest beach I ever stepped foot on. There was all kinds of trash washing up on it. I thought LA was dirty in general, graffiti everywhere, trash everywhere, I wasn't impressed at all. Maybe next time I'll go to San Diego, heard it was a lot nicer. Of course, I'm just a dumb ol country boy from SC, the only graffiti we have around here are the orange stripes around pine trees we want cut down and blue ones for the ones we want to keep.

If you step into the ocean ankle deep and can't see your own feet, that's a bad beach.

The Bahamas have a good beach. You can dive under the water twenty feet deep 'til your ears are hurting from the pressure and look up to see the clouds soaring through the sky like you could touch them right through the water.

The beach in Jacksonville, Florida is horrible. You couldn't stick your hand in the water there and count your fingers. It smells like dead fish rotting. I used to tick other sailors off because when we were going back to Jacksonville they were happy to be going back to Home Port and I'm like why?? Let's go somewhere better! Anywhere is better than where this tub is stationed out of! Jacksonville is a hellhole with crummy beaches, high crime rates and rotten weather. Even GOD hates the place, it gets hit with a Hurricane like every single year.

I've never been to the Schlitterbahn in Galveston. I have been to the one in South Padre and obviously the best one in San Marcos. Galveston is a great town....just not a great beach. I hope you have a wonderful time. :hug:

Didn't have a chance to merinate them. Was a spur of the moment thing. See in Park City on Saturday, the independent Grocery store was doing b-b-q beef ribs, and chicken. So Saturday we had extremely (to the max) good b-b-q beef ribs. I was going to buy a second rack and hope they made it home, but didn't want to chance it. So we get back to late Sun to go to the store, so we bought them today and just used sauce we bought with it.

Should'a seen people buying a rack of ribs. Good idea to b-b-q them right out front the store . . . people couldn't resist.

I got that airconditioner of mine fixed. Every time it was running it caused static on my TV. Very annoying, but my vendetta with the thing is done now that it is all fixed.
