Well, I'm back from my camping trip up at Dogtown outside of Williams, Arizona.

When Pixar animators made the movie "Cars", the city they modeled Radiator Springs on was Williams, AZ. Yes, it actually is on Route 66. I just drove through there today. There's a 15 MPH speed limit sign on Route 66! WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT?? That's like the speed trap from HELL, ain't it? I half-expected to see Roscoe P. Coltrain from the Dukes of Hazzard set up with a radar gun gonna get the Duke Boys good with this one, uh-heh-heee!!

I don't think Interstate 17 from Phoenix to Flagstaff is any better. FIVE CONSTRUCTION ZONES between Phoenix and Flagstaff. If they add one more they ought to just rename the road "Lego Freeway: Always Under Construction" for some truth in advertisement. Route 66 didn't have any construction on it, but a major Interstate?? They just can't hold that together!

I went golfing, which is a camping first for me. There are several camping activities which you can do that are camping-related but somehow golf just never enters into the mix most times. However, when you think about it, golf and camping have a lot in common. The people who do it tend to be crazy, they spend money on equipment and blame the gear when things go wrong, and while the use of alcohol would seem to be contraindicated in a game of skill or a test of survival, alcohol seems to get a lot of use anyway.

It actually worked out because it rained like Noah couldn't even have imagined, rained every day I camped and I forgot my camp umbrella had broken. Actually it got burned up while I was trying to use it to poke a campfire but that's another story. So I thought I was going to have to get rained on like a manly-man but then I remembered I was golfing. My golf bag has a golf umbrella in the golf umbrella holder. Man, did THAT come in handy. Golf umbrellas are the best umbrellas known to man. That thing has sheer acreage for cover and it's made out of fiberglass so lightning doesn't say "Oh look, another stupid golfer holding a big metal rod for me!" and do the lightning strike thing.

However, I think most golfers struck by lightning weren't struck because of their umbrellas. It was because of the fibs they tell on their golf score cards. Those are about some whoppers right there. Fishermen got NOTHING on golfers I gotta say.

My golf game was... adventurous. I managed to hit the green every once in a while. I also managed to hit another golfer, a golf cart, an outhouse, several trees and to that one very P-Oed squirrel, I gotta repeat my apologies, but seriously, if you're gonna be a squirrel in a tree on a golf course you gotta know there are some really bad golfers out there.

And I'm one of them.

Next weekend, I'm bowling. Heaven help any squirrel in my way while I chuck a 16-pound ball.

I beat you. I got a 130. Ha Ha!! I got more Snowmen than Santa Claus. I had a drive on a Par 3 that didn't even roll down past the Ladies Tees on an incline. I could have golfed better using a pool cue for my Driver Wood.

I should have practiced. I used to actually be able to tee off and get 200 yards but now I'm lucky to get 20 yards off my 3-iron. Couple that with a wet swamp-buggy course with NO roll at all and my game was suffering bad.

You might want to apply this "treatment" about two days later and then remove the nest. Note: I would suggest using a flashlight for seeing the nest and to help prevent a fall in the dark. Thoroughly saturate the nest on both days. Good Luck.

I've seen most of that....the gal who played Michael's daughter is PATHETIC...her death at the end was somewhat laughable. The whole sting against the Vatican was outrageous...
