I still have my nin 64, super nin(didn’t keep the original nin though), I remember Atari my parents still have theirs at their place but it is in the closet they get it out every once in a while :( ~ I didn't keep any of my old sega systems or the dreamcast ~ I wish I kept my old sega and sega CD though, I didn’t get into the Saturn that much ~

I was lucky growing up I got almost every system as they came out(My parents would get one for themselves, one for me and one for my brother) & they continue to do so for themselves and sometimes get me a video game to support my habit ~ Of course I spend most of my check(after bills) on either console games, computer games or beefing up my computer for gaming ~ My whole family plays games ~ My lil nephew is five I had him hooked before he turned two  ~

I have two tvs in my living room one is for gaming the other is shows while gaming or hooking up another system ~ I also will play vg in the bedroom, kitchen or dining room ~

Not even trying to out geek ;) just showing how geeky I am :))

My living room gaming system:

Optoma H30 DLP Projector, ceiling mounted on a 72" Movie screen. 480p, 480i, 720p, 1080i capable. Pioneer Dolby Surround system punctuated by Advent speakers. 200 watts per channel will blow you clean out of the room with the sound waves.

Wii. Xbox 360. PS2. Dreamcast. Saturn. All fed through COMPONENT VIDEO for a THEATER CLASS GAMING EXPERIENCE.

You would have a long tough row to hoe to try to outgeek me at video games. I own a working Atari 2600 for pity's sake! It has Circus Atari in it right now.

I have two tvs in my living room one is for gaming the other is shows while gaming or hooking up another system ~ I also will play vg in the bedroom, kitchen or dining room ~

Not even trying to out geek ;) just showing how geeky I am :))

My game room system has the Atari 2600, a Super Nintendo, a Sega CD with a 32X, a Sega Saturn, a 3DO (yep, the old $800 flop) and a Nintendo 64 hooked to a 20" TV. I let my brother stay there one time when he was between jobs and he like to have never left looking for no job. Dude was in the bedroom racking up the points. He actually finished Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in one day instead of looking for work so I had to lock up the games to get him to find a job and move out.

If you like the old Sega Genesis stuff, Sega just released a collection (Sega Genesis Collection) on the Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) which seems pretty authentic. The emulation was done by Digital Eclipse and it seems spot on. I can't tell the difference between my for-real Genny and the emulations on the PSP. My only gripe about it is the pop-up screens as you unlock videos and other games while you're playing.

I mean seriously, when the chips are down and Doctor Robotnik is about to lay the smackdown on everybody's favorite blue hedgehog, is that really the time to inform me that I've unlocked the interview video with Hirao Kanasagi?? That is really annoying.

That brings me to my videogame pet peeves.

Games that have THREE SEALS around the case. What the HELL is that for? Are they afraid the CD is going to pull a Houdini and escape if they don't tape down all three sides? It's shrinkwrapped in there for pity's sake! I spend $50 for a game and then it's major surgery trying to open the box! I worked hard enough making the cash to buy the game without making me peel off more tape than 3M manufactured last year!
Why can't they put the manuals ON THE DISK? Have these idiots not heard of .PDF files? They've got highly paid computer programmers putting these games together on state of the art machines and they can't figure out how to put the game manual on the disk for the love of Pete. They've got 8 Gigabytes of storage and they can't come up with a crummy 100 KB to put the manual on the game disc? What is UP with that?
Nintendo Power Magazine is bar none the WORST OFFENDER for advertising inserts in game jewel cases. Jeeze, Nintendo, if I wanted your crummy Magazine I'd order the rag off of your website. It's not so hard to find that my only hope of ever subscribing to it is your crummy postcard that you stick in every single game sold.
Why can't these video game consoles use STANDARD VIDEO OUTPUTS? Just throw some freakin' RCA jacks on the back like you see on every DVD player sold in the USA and knock it off with the custom cable connectors already. It ain't rocket science here. If a stupid $40 DVD player can figure it out, then SURELY a $400 videogame console might be able to get it right.
Load times drive me crazy. I just picked up "Dirt" for the Xbox 360 and the load time is 20 seconds. Tick-tock, tick-tock... what in the heck is it loading, the Encyclopedia Britannica in there? Dude! My hands are on the wheel, my foot is on the gas and I'm ready to race NOW but not with a load time that would get a NASCAR pit crew fired on the spot.
I love cordless controllers, really I do but why can't these companies put a "Page" function on them? Every cordless phone made since like 1980 has a beeper on it so you can track it down. Too complicated for the video game console makers. Sony doesn't even have an excuse, they actually MAKE those cordless phones for pity's sake. The only delay of game worse than a load time is a delay of game caused by a lost controller.
Video game music from Nintendo is the best and that doesn't even make sense because Sony is a MUSIC CORPORATION. They own MICHAEL JACKSON for pity's sake and every winner of American Idol on top of that but they can't put a decent tune in their games? Cripes, even SEGA comes up with better tunes than Sony can cough up.
Movie license games that suck because all the money for the game was spent on paying for the license and no money was used for R&D. Case in point, E.T. for the Atari 2600 was arguably the worst video game ever made in history. PONG kicks its ass. Superman 64 wasn't much better, and there's NEVER been a decent Batman game. How in the heck can you screw up BATMAN? DC Comics couldn't even screw up Batman but you give that license to a video game company and watch it turn into a steaming pile.
Knock it off with the game system webcams already. My God, don't these companies know that people don't dress up to play videogames? They'd be lucky to catch me with my UNDERWEAR on playing a videogame. These game consoles are in bedrooms and living rooms and I don't need the world to see me gaming nekkid, thanks.
Make some left-handed controllers. The Wii actually came close, as their controller is well-nigh ambidextrous but they did drop the ball on their "Classic" controller which is another rightie pad. 10% of the population is left-handed. It wouldn't hurt to actually throw us southpaws a bone.

Cable just got cut to the house while setting posts for a fence. No Cable T.V., no Cable Internet, no Cable Phone.

Had to come down to a Cyber Cafe to put a MMORPG (Massive multiplayer online role-playing game) I play into Vacation Mode so I don't get totally wiped while I can't get on-line.

My wife has this evil grin on her face about all the "things we can accomplish" this weekend. "Accomplish" right now I don't think there is another word in the English language I hate more.

F-type connector, Radio Shack, two for $3. Crimper costs another $5. Jumper video cable F-F maybe $4. Total cost to restore cable TV would be less than $15.

Actually wouldn't cost me anything because I have that kind of junk sitting around the house. I'm an electronics tech by trade, a ham radio operator by hobby and I've got stuff around this house that Thomas Edison couldn't figure out.

KK and I are about to head over to Books A Million so she can get her Harry Potter book at midnight....

Harry Potter reminds me a lot of Piers Anthony's "Tales of Xanth" series where the hero is a great magician but he's completely unaware that his magic is sorcerer class and in fact thinks he has no magical abilities at all.

The first book was A Spell for Chameleon, in which the Protagonist, "Bink", is up against finding his magical talent or being banished from the land. Going to a specialist, the charts rank his magical talent up there with the King himself, even more powerful than the wicked sorcerer Trent but he has no idea what his power is or how to use it. Yet he holds a power so mighty that he is actually in line for succession to the Throne of Xanth itself, but the poor guy just can't figure out what in the heck kind of spell he owns.

If you haven't read it, I won't spoil it but it's a hoot. It's the ultimate magic. Harry Potter couldn't beat it.

Surprising, given your affinity for a magical girl.

Tinkerbell: Fairy, specifically a Pixie, also known as a Sprite.
Tinkerbell is a character in the J.M. Barrie novel Peter Pan, and is depicted as often ill-behaved but fiercely loyal sidekick to the often ill-behaved but fiercely loyal Peter Pan. Tinkerbell's known powers include "pixie dust" imparting the power to fly for those with happy thoughts, preternatural strength belying a creature of her diminutive stature, self-illumination (glowing) and flight speeds near or exceeding Mach I capable of outflying anything in Neverland. Tinkerbell is prone to jealousy and will not brook any threat to her relationship with Peter Pan. She will kill or die to save Peter, so fierce is her loyalty, and yet she will stop at nothing to play jokes on Peter for her own amusement.

You don't do magic?

Have you read Peter Pan? I don't mean seeing the movie. The Disney treatment is hardly a shadow of the book. Have you read the actual book authored by J. M. Barrie? The one where Peter practically lets the kids hit the water as they fall asleep trying to fly to Neverland? The movie left a LOT out. They took out the entire Tiger Lily incident for pity's sake!

Nope I've never read the book.

The last time I read it was on a disk I've got called "Library of the Future" which happens to have the entire works of Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Edgar Allen Poe, actually about 3,500 books in total. Pretty much every historical document too, the US Constitution is in there of course, but so is the Mayflower Compact, the Magna Carta and everything else of historical significance.

It's really old, it was made for Windows 3.1 and predates Windows 95, but I can run it on this machine with a few tweaks in the settings on the PIF. It has an "autoscroll" feature where the lines just keep advancing and you adjust the speed to suit your reading speed. I read about 300 words per minute so that's where I set it at. It takes some getting used to, but it's nice having the classics like that.

The description you posted about tink sounds an awful lot like me must be why I like her..

You ain't shy on that gas pedal. I've done witnessed your driving, and you are a woman who needs good tires on the road to be sure.

Tink is fast enough to stand on a pirate's sword, stick her tongue out at the pirate, let the pirate take his best shot and land right back on his blade again with her tongue out even further to taunt the poor miscreant. It really makes you wonder why anyone would be a pirate in Neverland.

Could you imagine the job offer?

The bartender approaches and says, "We don't serve beer to bears in bars in Billings."

The bear, becoming angry, demands again that he be served a beer.

The bartender tells him again, more forcefully, "We don't serve beer to belligerent bears in bars in Billings."

The bear, very angry now, says, "If you don't serve me a beer, I'm going to eat that lady sitting at the end of the bar."

The bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve beer to belligerent, bullying bears in bars in Billings."

The bear goes to the end of the bar, and, as promised, eats the woman. He comes back to his seat and again demands a beer.

The bartender states, "Sorry, we don't serve beer to belligerent, bullying bears in bars in Billings who are on drugs."

The bear says, "I'm NOT on drugs."

I can't go anymore without coffee...

I don't drink coffee much myself, although I used to drink it all day and all night in the Navy, but one thing I've noticed is I don't know any coffee drinkers who put up with instant coffee.

I've been on camping trips with my singles club, and not once have I seen anybody making a cup of instant coffee. There will be five pots of coffee brewing and not one jar of instant coffee will be in sight.

Me, I usually just have my coffee pot full of hot water because I like hot tea in the morning (coffee tends to make me jittery) and there's a strong possibility of hot cocoa too. You can do a lot with a little bit of hot water. Once you've turned it into coffee, you're pretty much stuck with sugar or creamer. I digress.

What's the deal with instant coffee? It seems like nobody I know likes the stuff. Is it too easy to make? Is there a bitter aftertaste? What's the lowdown on the obvious rejection of instant coffee?

Well then, we need to have a taste test like they do on TV. You coffee drinkers will have to be in your back patio room and I and and an assistant (KK would do in a pinch) will make real coffee and instant coffee and serve you both in a blind test.

You will drink of both, try to identify the instant coffee and if you like it the way they do on TV, you'll ask for a second cup.

We're gonna have to make this fair. If the drip coffee is Folgers, the instant coffee will have to be Folgers too. Ditto if it's Maxwell House. Consistency is a key factor and you all are the highly experienced daily coffee drinkers so we're going to try and fool you.

Somebody is going to get two cups of the exact same thing and asked to tell the difference. If they do, then we'll know it's in their head. It's a dirty trick but it's also good science as a double-blind.

I went to a restaurant that serves 'breakfast at any time'. So I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance.

Well then, I suppose the eggs were so fresh they tried to have a go with you.

The French can't do anything right, you know. They call it French Toast, but it's not toasted at all, it's fried isn't it? But you can't call it French Fries, because that name is already taken by potatos which get fried. However, if you fry potatos for breakfast, those can't be French Fries, oh no! Those are HASH BROWNS. No relation to the breakfast food known as Corned Beef Hash which has no corn in it at all, but rather refers to salt the size of corn. Salt was a preservative in the days of the Renaissance before refrigeration and sailors were known as "salty" not just because of the salty ocean but because they ate salty food like corned beef.

French toast isn't really toast and French kissing isn't really kissing. They do have one thing in common though. If you do either using a popup toaster the results will be both messy and shocking.

The prison "chick" was funny. And for a bunch of inmates they sure are coordinated.

Fake. If some guy did that to me he wouldn't get a hug. He'd be damned lucky to live. I hold a concealed carry weapons permit and it's really not unusual for me to have a .380 or better in my pocket.

A total stranger with orange hair running at me like a maniac? Yeah, he's dead. Ha Ha. Funny joke. Televise that for ratings.

Of course its fake, I wouldn't laugh after being kicked in the junk just because some guys got a camera. But still funny.....guy in an orange fro goes around and kicks people in the nuts. It's pretty much what I and 50mil other Americans watched Americas funniest home videos for. But I also think this is funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n82ZHd9-Po
so my oppinion may be a little skewed.

Raindrops.

They keep falling on my head.

And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed.

Nothing seems to fit.

Those.

Raindrops.

Keep falling on my head.

They keep falling.

I hope y'all are satisfied with your complaining about the rain because it's here now. The weather forecast for today is rain. The forecast for tomorrow is rain, the forecast for this whole week is rain and I'm supposed to go camping this weekend in what?? Rain! And I'm supposed to play golf this weekend in what? RAIN!!

So I just did me some talking to the Sun. And I told him I didn't like the way he got things done. Sleeping on the job.

Life for the person in the orange afro would be three things: very short, very, very painful and over.
