I still have the two plants from my dad's funeral back in 2000. They're both doing surprisingly well, especially since one plant kept getting knocked off my patio ledge due to high winds. Every time that happens, I'm terrified that the shock of the fall killed the plant, but I pick it back up, repot it, and it's just fine. *whew*

I also have an ivy-kind of plant that's doing good. My sister has the same type of plant from my dad's funeral also, and that thing is growing like crazy all over her living room walls! :eek: I asked her what her secret was, because I wanted mine to do that too, but she had no clue. :razz: :lol:

my dad was mad b/c he wasn't in heaven for Jesus' birthday...he wanted to be singing w/ the Harold Angels.......he'd been sick for a long time, but it was around Thanksgiving that he finally gave up the fight. He went into the hospital December 24, which was also his last "good" day........he died just after midnight the 28th.
I witnessed God doing so many, many things in us, through us and with us in those days though. ;)

The only things that grow on me are potatoes and I don't want them to.

The things come in five pound bags minimum, and I can't eat any five pounds of potatoes in a week so there's always a couple of them that grow these stupid little stalks.

Doesn't anybody tell these stupid things they're dead? They're picked and in a bodybag and everything! You wouldn't see me do any growing in a bodybag!

They're zombie spuds. That's what it is. They're the undead tubers. They look dead, but don't you believe it! They roam the house at night, looking for dirt to plant themselves in, seeking to return to the veggie graves they were removed from.

Clean your houses, don't let the zombie spuds find any dirt and never, ever sleep alone with a tuber in the house.

If they bite you, you could turn into Mr. PotatoHead!! :eek:

I'll call in tonight. I gotta go to work, drive up Thompson Peak and fix a radio. It was funny driving up the mountain yesterday, a couple of guys from APS (Arizona Power Service) were driving around in a little Ford Explorer with 4x4 (and street tires) to get GPS coordinates on the electricity poles.

I wouldn't have driven their truck up that mountain. The truck was worthy, 4x4 and a 200 HP V6, that wasn't the problem, but street tires? Oh HELL no. You can have all the power under the hood in the world and it don't mean squat if the rubber ain't grabbing road.

I don't like sports. I couldn't care less about them. The only professional sports arena I've ever set foot in was Chase Field Ballpark and that's because I installed the radio system for security there. I won't ever go into a taxpayer-funded venue for entertainment purposes. Taxes are business. I refuse to have fun or support entertainment with taxes. Taxes are a necessary evil. There is no new 915 number...the 915 is where we are...but we haven't been in there as much lately. Everybody's been super busy.
