We're working on trying to find a place that will accomodate everyone so that everybody can stay in the same place. If that doesn't work out, I'll open my home up again to anyone who needs a place to stay. No axe murderers allowed please.

FYI ........................

I'm trying to arrange rooms thru my TS company so that we can all stay in the same place. These are like efficiency apartments with kitchen facilities, and can have multiple bedrooms. They typically run fromm 300 a week to 800 a week depending on what size apt you book. And there are ONLY weekly rentals. PERIOD! They can sleep anywhere from 2 to 6 people comfortably.

If you are coming to the meet, we will probaly need to book the rooms by early December. Since this is my account I'll be using, I have to make the payment on all the rooms. I will ask those that want a room to send in their payments ahead of time allowing for clearance so this can be done.

When the time approaches, I will send via PM an addy for everyone to send their payments. When checks clear, I will send you all your confirmations.

We are trying to get the same place I stayed in last year. Leigh loved the courtyard and the price was great. It is called Chateau Orleans and is a few blocks from Bourbon St.

There is also another one called the Quarterhouse. Leigh will be scouting it out for me VERY SOON RIGHT LEIGH?????????????????????
Their prices are about the same as the Chateau.

Now I am only allowed 12 discount bookings, and two are already taken by me and Leigh. So don't be a poke, wait till the last minute, and have pouty face cause you blew it.

You know, I did live in Louisiana for about a year while my ship was in the shipyards down in Metairie. I'm not exactly unfamiliar with the area and my totally fondest memory was the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival.

It was the most fun I ever had with whipped cream and my clothes still on. They were playing cajun music in open air concerts, cajun crafts and cooking were all around and it was a total blast.

I'm serious, it beat the HELL out of Mardi Gras for a Louisiana Experience. That was a party with strawberries and cream.

If we're going to do this and have a party, I'd say that's the bestest option. Stay in the French Quarter, do the Strawberry run and have a real special event going on.
