I loved the first season and watched part of the second season but missed most of it. I plan on watching it again now and hopefully can catch the 2nd season on DVD at least.

Oh great, I just realized I am using one DVR for Grays Anatomy and the other DVR for the Office. No DVR's left for Supernatural!

Guess I will have to watch the Office live from now on.

The 2nd season was so so so so much better than the 1st. The show really found its groove about 1/3 of the way through the second season.

The bank robbery episode was probably my favorite episode of the season and the last two minutes are the single greatest ending to any episode in the history of television. Being very vague so as not to spoil it but Sam and Dean go through a lot in this episode and the weight of many powerful orginizations are coming down on their head at the end. Cue the music which was just perfect for the situation and one little line by Dean timed perfectly with the music that just said it all.

The whole season started picking up plot threads that had been dangled throughout and really moving the plot forward. The creators weren't sure if they would get a third season so they wrapped up a lot of stuff by the finale and the show ends on a perfect perfect ending that would have served great as a series finale but at the same time it left the door open for a third season which they didn't know if they would get at the time they filmed it.

Its also got several humorous tongue in cheek episodes that rival the great funny X-files episodes in my opinion. One of them is even a slight homage to the X-files episode "Jose Chungs From Outer Space" which is always rated as one of the most popular X-Files episodes ever. Its the one where various characters tell what happened from their perspective in regards to an alien abduction and you see Mulder and Scully playing very differing roles.

I think what made me stop watching through the second season was time, I was working strange very early morning hours and only had two VRC's and no DVR's at the time to tape shows on at 9pm and I wanted to tape Grey's Anatomy and The Office and that left Supernatural out. Since I had to be in bed by 8pm I couldn't watch it live. This year I can DVR it and watch The OFfice, which I find hysterical so it is NOT an option to skip it and I am hooked on Grey's Anatomy too. I will just have to rent the season 2 DVD's when it comes out and get caught up.

OK so no spoilers, but it was pretty darn darn darn good. I've loved this series from the first. Great music as well that gives me a blast from the past. Nice to see other fans!

Awesome episode. The chemistry between Dean and Sam was excellent as usual.

And Dean's pop culture references were awesome. I was actually thinking about the movie Se7en when they learned they were fighting the Seven Deadly Sins so it was hilarious to see Dean yell "Whats in the box" and the awkward silence of everyone afterwards.

Awesome show. One of my and my wife's favorites.

Of course, any show that knows how to use classic rock as a plot device has my vote.

Half the fun is trying to pick up some of Dean's subtle references to classic rockers. When using fake names he always uses some rocker's name.

This is one of my favorite shows. Having two hotties as the main characters doesn't hurt.

This is very true. But alas they are at least 15 years my junior. And of course I haven't told my husband that! LOL. Yeah the music got me hooked and it's such a great premise.
