Went for a Drive as we Often do, and as my Parents did when I was Young...

My Kids Road Trip Well.

I am Blessed with them.

I have no idea how much snow we got, but it started in the afternoon and continued into the evening....everything got covered in a beautiful blanket of white......it was gorgeous and something not seen around these parts very often. My son said he doesn't remember it snowing since he's been alive and he's 20.

we did wake up to a some-what white Christmas 2 or 3 years ago....but at that time it was just some snow on the tops of some roofs. This time it was everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They Never had that Detachment from me as Parents.

I was missing my dad, and he's been gone for 8 years now.
8 years this month, he died right after Christmas...........

a couple of years ago, I completely cleaned out my attic. It really was fun. I did it right after Christmas, when the weather here was cool, so I would be comfortable working in my attic. I went through EVERYTHING. I had three piles: keep, throw-a-way, give-a-way.
Everything that I kept, I boxed up neatly and nicely, taped up the boxes and then labeled the boxes. My attic is so stinking organized it's unbelievable. I knew I couldn't keep everything, nor would it be fair to keep everything. Too many kids in the world that would love to have those toys NOW instead of waiting until one day when I may or may not have grandkids. So I did give quite a bit away, but the things my kids really cherished and the things my kids really played with, I could not part with. The legos fit into that category .... :)

Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I
brought Daddy a little cup of 'tea', which was just water. After several
cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home.

My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of
tea, because it was 'just the cutest thing!' My Mom waited, and sure
enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she
watches him drink it up.

Then she says,
'Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water
is the toilet?'

Very Good... Occassional Reminder by Letter or Business that my Ma and Pa are Gone, and that still Sucks...

Miss them Everyday, and still Hear them Telling me things.

My Daughter made a Picture that Appears to be People going to the Light... She is 3... She Insisted for an Hour that she Hold it until she got to me to give it to me. Then she Insisted I take it to Work and Keep it with me.

I didn't Realize what it Looked like until I Hung it in my Office.

Staying Focused on my Kids and Wife as Much as Possible.

Work is Busy, as always, and we are just Living Life while we are Blessed to have it!
