I've learned....
That life is like a roll of toilet paper....
The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.
I've learned....
That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.
I've learned....
That money DOES NOT buy class!!
I've learned...
that it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.
I've learned...
That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.
I've learned....
That the Lord didn't do it all in one day.
What makes me think I can?
I've learned....
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I've learned....
That the less time I have to work, the more things I get done.

Well, My washer decided it wanted early retirement so I had to upgrade to the tune of $1500!
Other then that, yeah. Lifes pretty good. Working six days a week for the possibility of a lush retirement package. Other then that.......same ole same ole...

I Make Time for my Family... It Cuts into Sleeping, but I Probably Spend More Time with my Wife and Daughter than People who only Work 40 hours...
I don't Golf, or do things that Take from Time with them.
When my Wife and I Decided to have Children, that was what we Set out to do, and our Personal Playtime was Made Secondary.
Not that we don't have our own Time, it's just NOT the Priority...

Whirlpool actually.
With the five year warranty. My last one was a gift so I won't complain, but the thing gave it up after only 3.5 years. I want this one to be My last one before I retire. Kind of amazing really. It has that super extracting spin to get your clothes squeezed out even more so it takes less dryer time. Plus it only uses 15 gallons of water where My old machine was 45 to 60!
Give some birthday wishes to your mom for Me. 70 is a great age! My dad will be doing his 75th this May.
Oh, and yeah. Its a front loader with the pedestal.

Yeah, that's the one. I get my brands mixed up :wall: Sounds sweet. If you have metered water, you will notice a difference. I love my top loading calypso from Kenmore as it is very similar...uses about 20 gallons a wash. Makes a huge difference!
So does this mean you are going to do all the laundry from now on? ;)
Aww, thanks for the wishes. Happy Birthday to DW's Dad!!! I am so thankful at almost 40 I have both of my parents with me :D

My wife has a store manager who bought one of those Calypsos. Says she loves it and they do come very highly recommended. Durable from what I've heard as well. And I do some of the laundry now. Mine! I never get My socks back from the laundry so I started to doing My own.
Thats really great to hear. I lost My mother a few years back but My dad is still kicking. Hell, he just got remarried a few months ago to a Russian woman. And NO, it wasn't one of those bride scams.
Though, I haven't met My new stepmother yet.
Makes Me almost afraid to head out to the left coast and find out.....

Socks have a way of disappearing no matter who does the laundry...unless you have really nice socks..then someone probably took them ;)
Kudos to Dad.....75 and remarried? Whew hoo....how fun is that.

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior.
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourselves for a relationship that's not meant to be.
Slower is better.
Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends." A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.
Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is.
Don't stay because you think "it will get better." You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women.
He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant,
Why would he treat you any differently?
Always have your own set of friends separate from his.
Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.
If something bothers you, speak up.
Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later.
You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within.
Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...even if he has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god.
He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
Never let a man define who you are.
Never borrow someone else's man.
Oh Lord! If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.
A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
All men are NOT dogs.
You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is a two-way street.
You need time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship
You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you...a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals...look for someone complimentary...not supplementary.
Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.
Make him miss you sometimes...when a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him- he takes it for granted.
Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need.
Keep him in your radar but get to know others.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate
them, a day to love them and an entire lifetime to forget them.

I can talk animals and night time. :))
I have a cat who sleeps with us, when she wants out (usually around 3:00am) she gently bites my foot. Once she goes out, it's in and out and in and out the rest of the morning, until I get up at 6:00am.

3. It's always darkest before dawn , so if you're going to steal your neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.
4. Don't be irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.
5. Always remember that you're unique. Just like everyone else.
6. Never test the depth of the water with both feet.
7. If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.
8. Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
9. If at first you don't succeed...... skydiving is not for you.
10. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

If you remember the Original Hollywood Squares and its comics, this may bring tears to your eyes. It did mine. These great questions and answers are from the days when Hollywood Squares' game show responses were spontaneous, not scripted as they are now. Peter Marshall was the host
asking questions, or course.
Q. Do female frogs croak?
A Paul Lynde: If you hold their little heads under water long enough.
Q. If you're going to make a parachute jump, at least how high should you be?
A. Charley Weaver: Three days of steady drinking should do it.
Q. True or false, a pea can last as long as 5,000 years.
A. George Gobel: Boy, it sure seems that way sometimes.
Q. You've been having trouble going to sleep. Are you probably a man or a woman?
A. Don Knotts: What's what's been keeping me awake.
Q. According to Cosmopolitan, if you meet a stranger at a party and you think that he is attractive, is it okay to come out and ask him if he's married?
A. Rose Marie: No, wait until morning.
Q. Which of your five senses tends to diminish as you get older?
A. Charley Weaver: My sense of decency.
Q, In Hawaiian, does it take more than three words to say I love you?
A. Vincent Price: No. You can say it with a pineapple and a twenty.
Q. What are "Do it," "I can help," and "I can't get enough?"
A. George Gobel: I don't know, but it's coming from the next apartment.
Q. As you grow older, do you tend to gesture more or less with your hands while talking?
A. Rose Marie: You ask me one more growing old question, Peter, and I'll give you a question you'll never forget.
Q. Paul, why do Hell's Angels wear leather?
A. Paul Lynde: Because chiffon wrinkles too easily
Q. Charley, you've just decided to grow strawberries. Are you going to get any during the first year?
A. Charley Weaver: Of course not. I'm too busy growing strawberries.
Q. In bowling, what's a perfect score?
A. Rose Marie: Ralph, the pin boy.
Q. It is considered in bad taste to discuss two subjects at nudist camps. One is politics, what is the other?
A. Paul Lynde: Tape measures.
Q. During a tornado, are you safer in the bedroom or in the closet?
A. Rose Marie: Unfortunately, Peter, I'm always safe in the bedroom.
Q. Can boys join the Camp Fire Girls?
A. Marty Allen: Only after lights out.
Q. When you pat a dog on its head he will wag his tail. What will a goose do?
A. Paul Lynde. Make him bark.
Q. If you were pregnant for two years, what would you give birth to?
A. Paul Lynde: Whatever it is, it would never be afraid of the dark.
Q. According to Ann Landers, is there anything wrong with getting into the habit of kissing a lot of people?
A. Charley Weaver: It got me out of the Army
Q. It is the most abused and neglected part of your body, what is it?
A. Paul Lynde: Mine may be abused, but it certainly isn't neglected.
Q. Back in the old days, when Great Grandpa put horseradish on his head, what was he trying to do?
A. George Gobel: Get it in his mouth.
Q. Who stays pregnant for a longer period of time, your wife or your elephant?
A. Paul Lynde: Who told you about my elephant?
Q. When a couple have a baby, who is responsible for its sex?
A Charley Weaver: I'll lend him the car, the rest is up to him.
Q. Jackie Gleason recently revealed that he firmly believes in them and has actually seen them on at least two occasions. What are they?
A. Charley Weaver: His feet.
Q. According to Ann Landers, what are two things you should never do in bed?
A. Paul Lynde: Point and laugh

Morning all, I went nature watching yesterday afternoon. I was supposed to be hunting but the thing I was hunting never showed up. What did show up? 3 deer, a couple of squirrel and a wood duck. No turkeys, and that's that for this year.

My place is bad about chiggars, found that out when I first hunted there last year. The only cure for that, deep woods OFF. A couple of friends came over last year and frog gigged my pond. They were covered in chiggars :). They haven't been back.

Bread defines a restaurant in my opinion... :D If the bread is bad, chances are the food will be too!

Christian Ways to Reduce Stress:
An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19. Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus."
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33. Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36. Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.
"If God is for us, who can be against us?"
(Romans 8:31)
