I live about 3hrs from the coast and go down a couple of times during the summer. I bought a board last year, had been renting up until that point but rental boards suck. Good times.

good times fer shur, I'm less than thirty minutes to the beach, but the surf is usually way too flat to ride much, I just borrow a friend's board, and try to catch the small waves. they crash close inshore, so you have to break off quick before you do a nosedive. I wouldn't even attempt, like some of the loons who surf during a hurricane.

after church we came back here and watched a video on the Holy Land....then we went to my in-laws and watched Texas Longhorn basketball. :)

I also know if the economies and situations were reversed, we'd be across that border doing all we could for our families as well. ;)

I tend to disagree Melinda. I often wonder why Mexicans do not put the same effort into CHANGING their own country as they do into entering ours illegally. As an American I would change the negatives from within,not flee to another and break the other country's laws.

the guy who does our yard is here legally. My husband helped him get all his papers in order and get here legally, so he comes and cuts our yard for us. We've never asked him to. I think he likes that he can do something for my husband.

The healthcare system in California has been taxed greatly because of the number of illegals that are here, using our hospitals as clinics. The burden of those bills goes to the government and those with health insurance.
