It is a wonderful day....going to eat at a great downtown restaraunt, going to the game, then heading to Greektown for dessert......perfect!

That likes Seay and Cabrera and played eligible for free agency. I am indifferent about Seay, but considering what we gave up for Cabrera, Dombromski need to sign him to a long term contract.

Also in this article from a little while ago, they said that Inge, Thames, and Raburn will be fighting for two roster spots.


Three players for two spots: As much as has been made about Inge's situation, whatever happens to the onetime Tigers third baseman could have a major impact on other players on the team as well, notably Marcus Thames and Ryan Raburn.

With one spot dedicated for a backup catcher and another for a utility infielder who can play shortstop, it leaves two roster spots for the bench. When Inge seemed destined for the trading block, Thames and Raburn appeared likely to make the club. If Inge remains, however, the math doesn't work out -- three players for two spots.

"I don't think it would necessitate a trade," Dombrowski said, "but they probably all couldn't make the club."

They really need to trade Inge for some minor league players. We need to restock our minor league system. This year we trade 8 of our top prospects, and last year we traded another 3 of our top prospects. Time to reload the cupboard.

I think we gave up to much, but thats beacause I kept hearding about how good Miller, Hernandez and Maybin we were going to be and I was really impressed with Jair last year. We gave up 11 top prospects, for Sheff, Renteria, Willis and Cabrera, and Willis and Cabrera are both 35 and Renteria is his young 30's, so if those 3 stick around for a while, maybe it will work out in the end.

Thats true, his errors are rather high, he usually is near the lead in errors at third. I have heard it said that his errors are so high because he makes plays that he shouldn't be trying for and a lot of that had to do with Guillen's limited range at short.

Make that $286.00, I just went through the purchase thing without actually buying anything on the Sunday 27 game package and it game me section 343, row 5, seat 1 for $286.00. If I lived down there I think I could swing that.

I was not the biggest fan of the some of the trades, mostly because I kept hearing about how great Maybin, Hernandez and Miller were going to be, but it is what it is. Dom's Mo has always been to stockpile minor league pitching. He has done a great job on building this team so I say keep doing what your doing.

Our bullpen fell apart last year because last year was a bad year for our team, healthwise. We had our ups and we had our downs. Everyone was just expecting so much from them, and they wore thin.

Yeah injuries took their toll, but thats the same thing right now. We are going to start the year with Zumaya and Rodney on the DL. I just hope that Bautista is as good as I have heard that he is.
