Damn.

I was Watching TV and this guy is like, “I have Genital Herpes”…

And his Bitch is like, “And I don’t”…

And he’s like, “And we want to keep it that way”…

Then the Commercial continues about basically that the only way to Avoid this Fairy Tale is to not have Sex… Then it Expands even further to Illustrate that this Drug was not Effective, or at least Proven Effective outside of Heterosexual Contact…

Memo to the Ignorant… Don’t have Sex with someone who has Herpes…

Once, Twice or 500 times… Don’t do it!

Seriously, why take the Chance?…

As far as t.v. commercials, the only thing I've heard her pick up is a partial phone number. She'll say, "Call 1-800-......."

I like listening to the side effects.

Being a walking cue-ball, I know a thing or two about losing hair. When they came out with Propecia (Rogain in a pill) I started listening. On the side effects list it said, "Certain sexual side effects". In other words, impotence. I thought GREAT, why's the guy trying to regrow his hair in the first place?:rolleyes:

as a sufferer of herpes, i would just like to say how shocked i am by all of your complete disregard to the millions of us suffering daily. it was not something we woke up one morning and decided to be diagnosed with. for many of us it took years to "get over" and many still have emotional and psychological issues with it. my story was a case of rape when i was 18. imagine my trauma when two weeks after the incident, while im still trying to cope with what was done to me, i find out i also contracted a lifetime std from the jerk. my cousin was also diagnosed when she found out her high school sweetheart whom she was married to for ten years cheated on her and basically gave it to her as a divorce "present" if you will. all that i have seen from your posts is insensitivity and pure shallowness. i once thought something like this could never happen to me, but it did and im still trying to cope. it doesnt help one bit that people like you comment on why anyone would ever want to date anyone with this and that the medicine itself is ridiculous. i am actually on this medication and it is the number one proven help for this disease. i am eternally thankful to its developers and i still wake up every morning wondering if one day someone will take me as i am and not focus on what i have. this disappoints me in humanity and compassion

as a sufferer of herpes, i would just like to say how shocked i am by all of your complete disregard to the millions of us suffering daily. it was not something we woke up one morning and decided to be diagnosed with. for many of us it took years to "get over" and many still have emotional and psychological issues with it. my story was a case of rape when i was 18. imagine my trauma when two weeks after the incident, while im still trying to cope with what was done to me, i find out i also contracted a lifetime std from the jerk. my cousin was also diagnosed when she found out her high school sweetheart whom she was married to for ten years cheated on her and basically gave it to her as a divorce "present" if you will. all that i have seen from your posts is insensitivity and pure shallowness. i once thought something like this could never happen to me, but it did and im still trying to cope. it doesnt help one bit that people like you comment on why anyone would ever want to date anyone with this and that the medicine itself is ridiculous. i am actually on this medication and it is the number one proven help for this disease. i am eternally thankful to its developers and i still wake up every morning wondering if one day someone will take me as i am and not focus on what i have. this disappoints me in humanity and compassion

I do agree with the shallow and often very insensitive nature of some of these posts. I find it very funny that lots of people get lifelong diseases from various activities in life, but to have a sexually transmitted disease is fully open to everybody elses hangups about sex and other bodily functions and their compulsion to berate anybody for being what they wrongfully stereotype as promiscuous. I mean, just because you have genital herpes does not mean you are a person without morals or human feelings.

I think you did. but either way, folks with the herpes can and do have sexual relations with others who do not. Controlling the outbreaks is an important step for that to happen. herpes, though a little unsettling, is not a death sentence.

Its a chance. and thats what I meant by trying to find someone to love, because herpes is not a death sentence. just because someone has a virus, does not automatically make them sexless non-humans. Not everybody who has this got it from sleeping with everything that walk on 2 legs.

I can say though, out of the few people I have known who have herpes, its usually a conversation stopper. Paranoia coupled with ignorance.
