Got time to listen but no time to heed your sage advice...this one is already laid out to be a brutal week.

We did get a brand spanking new truck Friday afternoon though...actually, Deb got a new truck...not a lot of bells and whistles, nothing stands out except the deal we got, which is exactly what we were looking for.

Strangely, brand new 6 cyl full sized trucks are THOUSANDS of dollars less than used mid sized trucks with any engine configuration, and in most cases, our new Dodge 1500 gets better mileage than a Ranger/Tacoma/Dakota/Nissan/whatever...

So we get a better price, full sized, lifetime powertrain warranty, etc...and better gas mileage....

Something is really bizarre in the truck pricing world right now

So far everyone's been cool. Yesterday I went to the Guadalupe (I hope I'm spelling it correctly) mountains, found a few deer, cut myself on some plant, and learned that the nearest gas station was 50 miles away and I had to high-tail it to Carlsbad just to have enough gas to get back home, at $3.79 a gallon. Should've filled up at Odessa before I took off but it's all good. I haven't seen a mountain in about 8 years until yesterday.

And thanks Ken for the critique... you should see my writing when I'm not dowing a 64-oz diet pepsi :mrgreen:

went to watch my nephew show his animal at our county fair....he's showing a goat; I kid you not. ;)

he did good considering it was his first time. One of his goats got fourth in its class........

well, she's elderly and she's been diagnosed with alzheimer's disease, so it is tough. i have brothers and sisters to help though. thanks for asking. that's what i love about texans, they are real sweet.

Was turning onto 8th Street (Ken probably knows what that's like) from some side road and stopped at the sign but the F150 behind me had a different idea, and I got a bit of a jolt that crunked my trunk, dented my bumper and took out one of my licence plate lights. The bill will be covered courtesy of the F150 that wasn't paying any attention to me, all $2,000 of it.
