Now we are doing breaking bonds and the math behind London Dispersion forces, hydrogen bonds, ionic bonds and (yeah, good luck with that) covalent bonds...we were given heats and such and I was going, "I don't even remember her TALKING about some of this"...

A lot of it had to do with surface tension of water and stuff... pressure, boiling point at room temp...that stuff.

Never argue with idiots. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

One cannot be a hermit, though....anytime I step out the door or log onto this thing you call the internets, I encounter idiots, minions, moron, imbicils, ax grinders, haters, personality retards, etc...

At some point in reality, you HAVE to interact with idiots, and they will try and argue with you, just because they think they have some sort of demonic obligation to start some serious ****....

I think it wise to remember that Christ himself opened a whole case of whoopass on those who were using a temple as a trading post.....in my interpretation, that makes it OK to 'lose it' once in a while, as long as the intent is pure....

That said, arguing with assbags on the internet is really nothing more than a total waste of time, bandwidth, energy, and brain cells (they are limited, ya know...not expendable, either)

Things I learned living in Texas

1. A possum is a flat animal that sleeps in the middle of the road.

2. There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 of them live in Texas .

3. There are 10,000 types of spiders. All 10,000 of them live in Texas .

4. If it grows, it'll stick ya. If it crawls, it'll bite cha.

5. "Onced" and "Twiced" are words.

6. It is not a shopping cart, it's a buggy.

7. "Jaw-P?" means, "Did y'all go to the bathroom?

8. People actually grow and eat okra.

9. "Fixinto" is one word.

10. There is no such thing as "lunch." There is only dinner and then there is supper.

11. Iced tea is appropriate for all meals, and you start drinking it when you're two. We do like a little tea with our sugar.

12 Backwards and forwards means, "I know everything about you."

13. The word "jeet" is actually a phrase meaning, "Did you eat?"

14. You don't have to wear a watch, because it doesn't matter what time it is. You work until you're done or it's too dark to see.

15. You don't PUSH buttons, you MASH EM.

16. "No. Jew?" is a common response to the question, "Did you bring any beer?"

17. You measure distance in minutes.

18. You switch from heat to A/C in the same day.

19 All the festivals across the state are named after a fruit, vegetable, grain, insect or animal.

20. You know what a "DAWG" is.

21. You carry jumper cables in your car --- for your OWN car.

22. You only own five spices: salt, pepper, Texas Pete, Tabasco and Ketchup.

23. The local papers cover national and international news on one page, but require 6 pages for local gossip and high school football.

24. You think that the first day of deer season is a national holiday.

25. You find 100 degrees Fahrenheit "a bit warm."

26. You know all four seasons: Almost summer, summer, still summer, and Christmas.

27. Going to Wal-Mart is a favorite past time known as "goin' Wal-Martin" or "off to Wally World."

28. You describe the first cool snap (below 70 degrees) as good stew weather.

29. Fried catfish is the other white meat.

30. We don't need no dang driver's ed. If our mama says we can drive, we can drive, dag-nabbit.

I'm not exactly sure w/ my son's ex-g/f b/c her mother was a drama queen, and it was hard to get a straight answer from her............but I would guess it was much the same as your mom's. the crushing headaches and blurred vision were what started the whole process of going to the doctors, that's how they found it. I was also told that if you were going to have a brain tumor, hers was the best kind. (I mean if there can be a "best kind").....anyway, she is fine now.

whole 'nother story now....now she is PG, and her mother has completely disowned her. I can not understand how anyone would abandon their daughter at the time in her life when she needs her mother the most. She got pregnant from her boyfriend while in college. Not ideal; but it happens. The boyfriend is beside himself w/ happiness; the girl is adorable....and the holier-than-thou "Christian" mother has disowned them both. What is wrong w/ people???????

I'm not exactly sure w/ my son's ex-g/f b/c her mother was a drama queen, and it was hard to get a straight answer from her............but I would guess it was much the same as your mom's. the crushing headaches and blurred vision were what started the whole process of going to the doctors, that's how they found it. I was also told that if you were going to have a brain tumor, hers was the best kind. (I mean if there can be a "best kind").....anyway, she is fine now.

2. I was diagnosed with a similar tumor when I got out of the service ... thru the miracle of prayers by other people (I was a total and absolute non-believer back then) said tumor healed and departed...we shall be praying for you as well...(at least I will be)

to be honest, Haddie....I think she is crazy.
I know all things work for a reason and a purpose, but many times I feel that my son would still be w/ that little girl had it not been for her mother. My son dated the girl for three years; he loved that little girl. But he could not deal w/ her mother any longer.....
but she and her new b/f are so happy, and thankfully her grandmother is helping them out. And many "mothers" in the community who know her story. It's still so sad though.

leaving for MRI in 7 minutes. MRI is scheduled to start at 11:45am (EST). I'll say prayers for everyone while I am stuck in that machine......I am so claustrophobic....I need something to distract me.

any prayer requests anyone?

If I did listen to them in the machine, I'd be laughing so hard, they wouldn't be able to get a good pic. :)) :)) :))

Come to think of it....I was told I might be getting another one last night........never happened. That obscene caller better get on the ball for today!

Morning folks...

Just got back from the Vietnam Vet's Memorial location - I provided and ran sound for a gathering of bikers taking the Southern Route on the annual "Run for the Wall" event, in which bikers of all types from all over the nation ride to the national Vietnam Vet's memorial "The Wall" in D.C....

Attendance was down this year, thanks to the price of gasoine....I think the estimate was 410 bikes, plus support vehicles, etc...the local American Indian group (of which I belong) offered a 'smudging' ceremony to all riders, and all but 2-3 took advantage of it...My spouse is allowed to conduct smudges, so she did about half of them....quite a sight.

A great bunch of people from all over riding for a great cause - rememberance of fallen soldiers, surviving soldiers, and lost soldiers (POW/MIA)....

Hell, I'm always proud to be an American, but there are some days that pride does not properly convey my feelings...this is one of those days.
