A small joke for the weekend...

When a woman wears a leather dress

A man's heart beats quicker,

He goes weak in the knees,

And he begins to think irrationally.

Ever wonder why?

I love who I am and where I live. And I am not defined by my state but nice to see your state pride is extremely healthy.

You are new RW. Welcome.

I believe everyone should be proud of who they are and where they come from.....and more importantly where they are now and what type of person they become.
I'm very proud of who I am, where I'm from, where I live, and on and on.....but I also believe that everyone should feel that same way about themselves. :)

I was born here. lol Not sure how that should cause me personal pride since I did nothing but be born here. You know what I mean.

Gabby Johnson is RIGHT!

To address a few questions/concerns...

1. It ain't arrogance - its swagger...get used to it.
2. Don't matter where you were born - when you came here, we made the decision whether you are Texan or not...those who were voted off the island either left or have ...er...disappeared.
3. Ego and humility go hand in hand. I am one of the most humble people on Earth, and damn proud of it...
4. Not every true Texan wears a hat...but every true Texan would look good in one.

1. I have sway, you have swagger darling. Get used to mine and I will try to get use to yours. ;)

2.I will never choose to live in Texas, not for me, but I am glad it is the birth or chosen home to others.

3. The exposure of ego must be enticing,a sledgehammer approach is arrogance. One should know the difference and know that perception is what matters not what the voices in your head say to you. lol

4. Every Texan has a head. That I can attest to with certainty. That those heads all look great in a hat I cannot.

Well,I take people as they come and as individuals. I have heard some negative things about people in the south from people who have lived there but I personally refuse to buy into generalizations because they are often wrong and they reflect poorly on me as a person who sees people as people, not as states.

Being proud of your birthplace or culture is one thing. A person being arrogant and judging an entire section of the country by their small experience there is a poor reflection on the person in my opinion.

I have come to know several wonderful Texans here for years. Badpenny and SUVDriver come to mind. So I know not all Texans are alike.

I know who and what I am and I am love who and what I am. Not getting the stamp of approval from a Texan or two on a message board is hardly going to matter. lol

You mean getting to know my online persona...there is a galaxy of difference....I like to line....anpoke, prod, antogonize, swag, brag, and drag on noy the yankees, scare small children, aggravate everyone, befriend 1-2 per 1000 I meet in cyberspace (and they know who they are)...

The rest of it is mindless blathering horse ****.... as it should be.

lol Well, since I have never met you Mr. Wire, yes that would be the persona I mean. That was a rhetorical question I presume. haha

We are more alike than different Texan. Consider yourself warned. ;)
