Last night’s program was incredibly boring so, why should I bother to continue watching?
Someone tell me what would be the point of it?

i gotta say i thought the first episode was fairly interesting, the 2nd one sorta drifted off, last night's episode was awful , the show is not lookin good so far, maybe someone could research how they are doing in the ratings dept, but so far It's lookin pretty bad

No good reason to watch it...
remakes are rarely better than the original.

Next weeks episode on ABC was touted as the last show for 2009 as if some dramatic cliffhanger awaits the viewing audience in a plea to be sure to tune in and watch.
I just don’t see any point in it.

I made no connection to any of the characters after watching for three weeks and the plot seems to be nothing more than a “who can you trust/who’s who” drama.
There’s no sci-fi aspect at all.

Ahhh, no. The orginal was much better. It had everyday people in the resistance, not "super-fight-like-a-man" heroine Agent Lady.
And I would dispute whether or not Battlestar Galactica's remake was that good.

But what is this show a remake of? The mole? Lost?
It has little to do with the original “V”.
More the reason to not bother watching.

That’s what I was just thinking. The original “V” had your average every walk of life people forced together to do something about being dominated by the visitors.
Last nights show really turned me off about the way it’s developing.

Same... I did not like the new BG as well; and I especially had a problem with a woman playing a guys part.
Not that they do not exist; but I have yet to come across a stogy smokin', bar brawling, card cheateing, man-izer, woman.

Apparently it is doing extremely well in the ratings.

I have watched every episode so far and I still like the series but it has slowed the pace since the first episode.

Actually its not.
It did good its first week. Its 2nd week it suffered a 26% drop which is the biggest this season for any 2nd episode of any show. Now its 3rd week it dropped another 16%. While it still tied for 2nd place in its hour the fact its shedding so many viewers week to week pretty much means its done for.
If it can't keep its viewers now how many do you think are going to come back in four months when the show returns?

How many would they have kept if it wasn't already widely known that there would be a four month hiatus after only four episodes? Any one remember "Moonlighting"?

The show is not bad, but I don't want to invest too much into it.
If it doesn't involve people dancing, or cops solving crimes, the odds are against a show surviving long enough to come to a conclusion. I don't want to be one of the few nerds to get into the show, only to have it canceled with an unresolved cliff hanger.

It's all a matter of opinion. I read this thread before I saw the 3rd ep but decided to see it anyway. I thought it was great and I don't see what all the complaints are about.

Well, that was the highlight of this week’s episode with the scene of her wearing only her bra & matching panties.

I think it was in the second half hour near the end when the super agent lady came home to find hot V chick and her son together. While sonny boy distracted his mom she striped off her clothes to conceal her identify as a visitor by being nearly naked in the bedroom.
Hot V chick said something like…”I thought this would be better”
It was.

The show reminds me of Jerico. And it looks like it could suffer the same fate... a fan appeal for a return and a hastily strung together series finale.
I was also a fan of the original V series, and was very annoyed with the first episode of this remake. I could go on and on about all the suspense items from the original series that they revealed way too soon, the snapshot character development and the cheezy giant tv set on the bottom of the ship. But you have to keep it in perspective. Nowadays everybody and their grandchildren have access to original titles with a couple clicks. Something different has to be done to avoid replicative fading.
Who knows this could be similar to Lost or 24. It was the second season of Lost the peaked my interest... but I'm still not into 24. :)
