View Full Version : NFL Owners - A Classy Bunch

Well, we all know that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell feels Rush Limbaugh is not worthy of owning a team in the NFL. Of course, he doesn't have the same reservations for other high quality people such as Jennifer Lopez or Fergie, two icons known for obscene musical lyrics and peeing pants while on stage.
Now, in another display of class, Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams was photographed last Sunday flipping the bird at Bills fans at the conclusion of the game in Nashville. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had breakfast with Adams and sat with him in his luxury booth for the first 3 quarters of the game, which seems to indicate that Roger finds him good company.

And Bud gets to pay a $250,000 fine for whatever pleasure he took with his gestures.

You would think that if he's got that kind of pocket change, he could afford a haircut.

1. You should know that it's way easier to stay in a club when you do things other club members don't like than it is to get into a club when you do that. But if you can find an example of a guy who stood around flipping off the other team's sideline BEFORE they bought a team, your comparison might be valid.
2. Can you PLEASE tell the class what issue you have with Jennifer Lopez? I know your issue with Fergie since we've gone over it, but all you said about Lopez is she proved Goodell was a hypocrite, but never said why. I mean...other than wear what might be the 2nd greatest dress in awards show history, what did she do to you?

Love how the meme is now he's flipping off hte Bills fans or the Bills. Why the hell would he do that? There are opposing fans at every game. Maybe he was flipping off the crowd and his own head coach, cause his guy has won three straight. The guy he wanted and Jeff Fischer fought against. hmmmm.
As for the OP, tell Rush to build a time machine, go back to 1959, gamble his own cash on an upstart football league, and then we've got comparison.

To be fair it's Buffalo, I live about 3 hours from Buffalo, and I wake up every morning and flip them off.

why would rush want to be associated with those kind of people?

I don't see the other NFL owners putting their teams up for sale because of this mans actions. Why do they want to be associated with him?
My guess is the job pays well and they like football. Likely the same reasons Rush wanted to own a team.

I had the look up this reference, as I wasn't sure what you meant.
Is this something you guys carry around on your shoulders still? Haunts your dreams?
In all seriousness I've only been to Buffalo a few times, once to watch a NFL game between them and the Vikes in preseason a few years back, but everytime I go I have a good time there.

Goodell fined Adams $250,000.
J'Lo hasn't done anything wrong except be a bad actress and bad singer but thats just my opinion based on my tastes. Fergie hasn't done anything wrong either that I'm aware except put out even worse music than J'Lo.
Basically your grasping at straws and making a ridiculous point. Note that nowhere am I defending what Adams did, I'm just pointing the ridiculousness of everything in your post that didn't involve Adams.

It's a political board K Lags, gotta go to Presidential trivia. ;)
Yeah, we are generally happy people who like to have fun, drink a lot, and eat heart attack on a plate. Not a bad place.

J'Lo causes disruptions every time she attends a game.
People get irritated waiting in line behind her
because her ass doesn't clear the turnstile until 15 minutes after she's entered the stadium.

If I were standing behind Jennifer Lopez for 15 minutes, I wouldn't care if she was blocking my way into the stadium.
I'm sorry, but the video for "Jenny From The Block" (on mute) was a better stimulus package than anything put forth by the Democrats.

You know nothing of heart attack on a plate until you've killed a 2 pound cheesesteak covered with cheez-whiz.
The button on those pants never stood a chance.
